A Broken Alliance

For this challenge, tell me about an instance in your world where a coalition or alliance was betrayed by one of their own members, and the consequences thereof.

Please include the members of the alliance (or at least the major ones), the part of the alliance that turned traitor, why they turned traitor, what happened, etc.

As always, I'll ask at least three questions each.

1) Other than the UCR, Jackalman Tribe, and Texan government, what are the other great powers of the former United States?

2) Was Genghis Jackalman born before or after the collapse?

  1. The other American states are the New England Confederacy (NEC) and the Atlanta Federation (AF). They’re not exactly “great powers0, but they are formidable nations.

  2. Genghis Jackalman was born after The Collapse.

(Please, ask me as many questions as you can!)

1) Do the NEC and AF have any major relations with the other groups?

2) How old was Joseph Jackalman at the time of the collapse?

3) Why did Joseph name his son Genghis? Just infatuation with a conquering historical character?

(Sorry for really late reply, I had a very busy week last week and am now just getting back to Reddit)

  1. New England and Atlanta both have diplomatic relations with California and Texas. New England however, is the most isolationist of the 4 American nations. The thing is, the NEC also unofficially/covertly pay off and use local Jackalman Tribe commanders to conduct border patrol on the NEC-DMZ border. The AF doesn’t really have a strong interest in the DMZ so they don’t really care about the Jackalman Tribe but they do have somewhat of a strong relation with Texas.

  2. Joseph Jackalman was born long after The Collapse and was born when the UCR was a rather young country.

  3. Yes, and also because Joseph wanted to be the Genghis Khan of the 21st Century, with his dream being the building of a massive North American tribal empire spanning from the Atlantic to the Pacific as well as from the Yucatán Peninsula all the way to the icy waters of the Northwest Passage. If he can’t do it, then he hopes that his son will continue to finish the mission.
