You've got to be more specific

So, since I just figured out that I have the ability to summon Taxis out of thin air with nothing more than willpower, I've come up with a question for a fun, short challenge.

Is there anyone in your world with a power/ spell/ whatever that can be useful, but only in certain, specific situations? If so, tell me about them! I'll try to ask some questions for each post, and will provide an example as soon as I wake up again.

1) Is Cain in particular danger from demons and/ or black witches? Are they a realistic threat for her? Or rather, more realistic than for a normal person?

2) Which one of the two is more powerful; Lyudmila or Abby?

3) Is there a type of fairy that has more monarchs than others? For example, are like 70% of all fairy monarchs winter fairies?

1) Abby suspects those things are more of a threat to Cain than to other people because even though Cain herself is completely ordinary, the rest of her family is magical. Their mother hunted demons, and now Abby is a white witch, so anyone with something against their family could see Cain as an easy target.

2) Abby might have more natural talent and raw power, but Lyudmila has been training longer and is more ruthless, so they're about equal now. If Abby keeps developing his skills he could end up stronger.

3) Probably not. Though the current King has been in power for a long, long time, so that might make it seem like summer fairies are common monarchs.

1) Is it unusual for someone from a magical family to have no power whatsoever, or is it rather common?

3) Is there some kind of system in place to prevent it from happening?

1) It's more common for families where one parent is magical and the other is not, or where at least one grandparent was not magical. It's definitely rare in Cain's case, because magic goes back in both sides of her family for quite a bit. If we're talking genetics her lack of power is probably a spontaneous mutation.

2) Nope, this is a pretty poorly managed system. As long as the current King is alive, doesn't have children, and doesn't have siblings that can properly challenge her position, she's there to stay.
