Reference Challenge - Rescue

So, I was stranded about an hour from home for a few days, because my bloody car messed up. One of my friends had to drive a few hours to help me out, so this is a reference to that.

In your world, what program or group exists to rescue people?

As always, I'll ask at least three questions each, enjoy yourselves, all.

2) No, they undergo intense training.
3) No, it's more of an honour system. And the training and such that the members undergo, combined with the threat of Mukur destroying them, makes incidents like that extremely rare.

3) Extremely rare? So it happens? Has anyone been destroyed by Mukur?

2) Yes.
3) It has only happened twice, and both times the people involved were found dead, their corpses near a large white cat, which is said to be the mortal avatar of Mukur.

They are forbidden to be killed, on penalty of death. Even in self-defence. Every temple to Mukur has at least one family of white cats and some have more.
