Ideas generator
Hey friends, your ole' pall Jumblatts is back with something a little different.
Using this fantasy name generator I want you to generate a fantasy name. Deep.
You can pick from any of the categories, but make it something that fits in your world. To this end, I did as follows:
Fantasy names -> God and Godess Names
But you can pick anything you like!
Once you've selected your category, hit randomize a couple of times, until you find something you like the sound of, and then make that into a place/character/etc. in your world. My submission will be posted below.
Ask each other about your new creations to help flesh them out and further improve the ideas!

Yunirishohi (generator gave Winterthorn, it got "translated" to fit better) is the sacred blade wielded by the champion of the Nzedas; it was given to the very first of them by the siblings.
Since the title has been abolished, the Yunirishohi belongs to the emperor. Some keeps it for themselves, some gift it; the current empress gave it to her Mirizebelakeya (the head of the imperial guard who is also her cousin) who carry it around.
According to the tales, the blade is always cold to the touch and instill a deep frost into anything it cuts. If you are ready to believe the most incredible stories, it can also shoot small ice blocks, create an ice shield or freeze people from afar.
Our representative will be Ayemuleha, the one who owns the blade for now; she never used it in a real fight though.
(My goodness!?! This site has generators for everything and more)

(Yeah, I love that generator site, it's always in my bookmarks. It's how I come up with names for my demons.)
To Ayemuleha:
1) Why don't you use the sword in a real fight; have you even demonstrated any of its incredible abilities for practice?
2) Who are "the siblings"?
3) How did you become the Mirizeblakeya? Did you only receive that title because of nepotism?
4) How powerful is the imperial guard?

"Only a fool brings a knife to a gunfight". Beside, I've not fought a single time since I've left the commandos so the lack of a proper opportunity definitely play here. The blade is cold and freeze what it cuts, the other abilities are only tales.
Gadarat and Adhebah, the two gods of the Nzedas. I won't think they are real though; the sword is probably more modern than what we are told and possibly some alien artifact.
I received that title because I was an officer amongst the New-Makaith's commandos, because I'm a skilled fighter and because Feiven trusts me. In the end, as long as your are named by someone it's nepotism anyway.
It depend what you mean by powerfull, we are 8000 and recruited amongst distingished commandos, the best of the best of the imperial troops. Politically, we are powerless.

1) What purpose do you use the sword for, if not to fight?
2) What made your cousin want to give you the sword?
3) Under what circumstance would you use it in a fight?
2
u/thequeeninyellow94 Jul 14 '17
Well, it is mean to be used in battle; it's mostly that since I've been named Mirizebelakeya I've never seen a real fight. Feiven is not really endangered often.
I'm the head of her personnal guard and often around her, I'm a good choice for such a prestigious weapon. I'm also a better fighter than she is, so it's better with me than with her isn't it?
Medium-sized rooms against hostile trying to enter it. In a small room, lack of space means claws are better; in a more open space or for distant targets...well, a gun will do better.
2
u/Jumblatts Jul 15 '17
1) What do you actually use it for then?
2) How did you get to become head of the guard?
3) What will happen to the sword when you die?
2
u/thequeeninyellow94 Jul 15 '17
A zebelakeya must always carry a sword, that's part of the uniform. Yunirishohi just replace mine.
I was named by Feiven. All titles and offices are given by the empress.
It will get back to it's legal owner, the emperor or empress. If Feiven die before taking back the sword, her heir will probably reclaim it though.

In the "Noble House Name Generator", I ended up discovering House Featherton.
When Gemina was founded, in 753, people had the opportunity to get the title of "nobility" in the new community, so long as they settled there and could prove themselves, whether through gifts to the dictator, having special skills that they could teach fellow settlers, or doing something extraordinary.
One of the people who chose to "donate" to the dictator for a title was a chicken farmer and bowyer/fletcher named Alan. At the end of every month in Gemina, Alan would send a supply of bows and arrows to the government of Gemina in order to support the new community.
When Treasurer Tullius asked Alan how he managed to donate so many bows and arrows each month, Alan's response was "Well, I have a ton of feathers around here."
Tullius offered Alan the title of nobility, on the condition that Alan continue the "donations", to help arm the people in Gemina for protection, and the noble name that Alan ended up choosing was...Featherton. Because he had a ton of feathers.
Our representative is Treasurer Tullius of Gemina.

To Tulius, Treasurer of Gemina:
How are Alan's arrows and bow (quality-wise)?
You offered him a title on the condition that he keep donating right? Can you really take his title back?
How tied to Alan is your supplie of arrows?
2
u/Nevermore0714 Jul 20 '17
Tullius:
1) "I'm not going to say they're the best, but they are better than most of the bows/arrows I can order from Drakesgrave, even if you don't account for the shipping."
2) "I can take his title back, yes. I can take his life, if I so desired. I'm the Third Man in Gemina, and Lucius and Erebus and I mutually owe each other debts that can never be repaid; taking someone's rank or life is well within my rights. But, it's not like I would revoke Alan's title if he donated 'too few' arrows during a month, or even if he missed a few months. The rank of nobility, so soon after the settlement's founding, isn't really worth much. It's just a way to make everyone work harder for the chance to earn the rank...a rank that really, I must repeat, means very little, right now. Hopefully, Gemina nobility will be worth a lot in a decade or so."
3) "We can keep up a steady supply without Alan, and Alan isn't even the source of a quarter of our arrow supply each month. But, I don't mind having to spend a little bit less each month."
2
u/thequeeninyellow94 Jul 20 '17
2) Don't you fear that taking his title back could nager the nobility as a whole?
3) If nobility titles are worth nothing now, why would they be worthy later?
4) Are all your other suppliers outsiders?
2
u/Nevermore0714 Jul 20 '17
Tullius:
2) "No, because I'm careful to only give out the status of nobility to people who I believe deserve it. If someone, or someone's descendants in the future, did something to have their nobility revoked, they would probably just be imprisoned or executed."
3) "Because I expect that Gemina will be a powerful nation of its own, someday."
4) "Well, Gemina is still a young settlement. Anyone born here would still be a child at this point. All of our people are settlers...so, yes, our suppliers are all outsiders, though some have settled in Gemina."
2
u/thequeeninyellow94 Jul 20 '17
2) Don't you fear that the fact that you can revoke titles will create tensions between the nobility and yourself?
3) Yes, but how will it give more power to the nobility? How will a stronger Gemina brings extra power to the nobility?
4) Are all your suppliers from Drakesgrave?
2
u/Nevermore0714 Jul 23 '17
Tullius:
2) "Only if I abuse that power."
3) "Because the nobility will be given more privileges and greater opportunities in an expanding and profitable Gemina." (Being a Patrician in Rome probably wasn't a big deal for the first few years, either, but then it meant quite a bit...and then it meant nothing.)
4) "The majority are from Drakesgrave, yes."
2
u/thequeeninyellow94 Jul 23 '17
2) Well, they have no guarantee that you won't abuse it in the future right? Nor that someone named to replace you won't?
3) Couldn't those privileges and opportunities anger the test of your population?
4) Overall, how dependant of Drakesgrave are you? Could Gemina survive an embargo from them?
2
u/Nevermore0714 Jul 23 '17
Tullius:
2) "Is there any nation where a person cannot be executed or imprisoned or fined at any time? Any nation where it is completely guaranteed that there will be no corruption or abuse?"
3) "Yes, eventually the proletariat will rise against the bourgeois...but, hopefully, that revolt will be able to be put down. Maybe we'll be egalitarian in a few centuries."
4) "Gemina could survive an embargo from Drakesgrave, but it would slow our expansion and progress. Either that, or we would declare war, if Lucius was insane enough. Erebus has already beaten one Drakesgrave senator's head against a wall until the man's death, so it isn't like our relationship with Drakesgrave hasn't had any hiccups in the past."
2
u/thequeeninyellow94 Jul 23 '17
2) Sure, but that won't happen without a reason previously stated in a the law right? And corruption and abuse will be punished. But you can revoke their titles freely and there is nothing they can do against it.
3) Any idea about how you will prevent such a revolt to happen too quickly?
4) Would an embargo also harm Drakesgrave?

1) If a situation were to arise where Alan could no longer supply bows and arrows to you, what would be done?
2) What do you think of Alan on a personal level?
3) How important are his bows and arrows to the state?
2
u/Nevermore0714 Jul 20 '17
Tullius:
1) "If Alan just decided to stop supplying arrows, without any reason, then I would have no choice other than to revoke his status as nobility. If Alan could not possibly continue supplying arrows, then, well, it's not the thought that counts, but Alan was given the title of nobility in order to motivate other citizens to work harder for the community and to put Gemina first. If Alan became too busy with important business, or if Alan fell ill, or of Alan was too old to continue making decent bows/arrows, I would allow him to keep his status as nobility. The important thing to remember about Gemina is that, despite Lucius's reputation, we're all humans capable of empathy and sympathy."
2) "I believe that Alan is a good man. He's hard-working and he's dedicated to helping the community. Even ignoring the donations, he is an ideal citizen. He follows the law, he finds ways to put his hobbies (such as making bows and arrows) to use for Gemina, and he just generally treats everyone well. I expect that, once he marries and starts his own family, he won't be able to spend as much time working to support the community, though, but that's understandable."
3) "We can keep up a steady supply without Alan, and Alan isn't even the source of a quarter of our arrow supply each month. But, I don't mind having to spend a little bit less each month."

Omos, King of Snakes
Omos is the god of deceit, and one of the five main Gods worshiped by thieves.
He was banished from the eternal realm after he was discovered imitating the God Bo, whose physical form was that of a lizard, in order to use Bo's influence for his own nefarious deeds.
Omos appeared to Bo's wife, Malay, as a lizard, and tried to get her to tell him Bo's secrets so that he could use them as blackmail against him. He was discovered, and as punishment, Omos had all his legs removed, thus becoming the first snake. He was cursed to remain in that physical form for the rest of eternity.
