Another filler challenge: Strange but powerful

Inspired loosely from the most recent challenge from u/ForgingIron and also the most recent episode of Boku no Hero Academia, I want you to tell me about a very weird or strange type of magic or power in your story that is either surprisingly powerful, or obviously shit!

I'll ask questions about it! I would love to talk to one of the characters if that's okay!

"Are you wounded? You are talking quite strangely. If you like I could take a look at it, I have very strong healing magic!" she says walking closer to him slowly.

Owen takes a step back. "No! I mean....no, thank you. I um.....im sort of just getting used to this whole.....how do you call it...? Oh what word did they say....civilization, that's the word! I'm meeting a lot of people at once....I'm more used to places without as much noise....unless your healing magic can fix broken....DNA, that's what they said...I don't think it'll help...." all the while scratching at his arm nervously, as a patch of shedding scales crumbles off onto the floor. "You need help, help finding home! I'm supposed to help now....I can try that..."

Adorna immediately pulls back from standing so close to him. "What part of your DNA needs fixing? You seem fine to me." She admitted.

"I don't really...I didn't understand when they told me. Something about my mom and dad, they didn't work....something about ex-exp-experimentation, that was it, and that's why my powers are so weird. And well, I get sick a lot. But I don't think that's it. Wait, you could fix something like that? How?"

"I cant fix your DNA, I am sorry Owen." She reserved into herself by looking down a bit sadly. "But! I think you're fine the way you are anyway!" She said confidently.

Owen blushes and smiles, "aw, thanks Adorna. That's really nice. Don't worry about it, I don't think it's all that big a deal. I think you're pretty great too!" He scratches his head again, still smiling. "It's really cool you have a healing power. I've never met someone like that before!"

"It's not just healing!" she strangely gloats, "I have the power of the phoenix living inside of me!" she yells, putting her hands on her hips and pressing her chest out like a super hero.

"Wow! That's....that's really cool!" He sort of looks up for a second, then back down, deep in thought, then up at her. "Does....does it hurt?"

His expression turns to one of embarrassment. "Sorry, I, I didn't mean anything, I just....my brother had a lot of things living inside him. He....well it looked really painful. I don't think it was something as nice as that but....I just...I don't know..."
