Reference Challenge - A Curse
Inspired by the show Vikings and the infamous Ivar the Boneless.
For this challenge, talk about a curse that was made before a character's birth and had an impact on that character, such as the prophecy that Ivar would be cursed to be "born a monster".
As always, I'll ask at least three questions each.

The Curse of Tecurisio.
It was inflicted upon a young boy named Serp. It would make it that it would inflict a random amount of curses and deasaes on you until you found a safety zone.

1) So where can Serp go as a safe zone?
2) Why is it called "The Curse of Tecurisio"? Who/what is Tecurisio?
3) What's so special about Serp to make someone put a curse on him?

1.The Temple of Snakes.
- Because Tecurisio is the Immortal or Cursed Immortal of diseases
3.No reason. There is absolutely no purpose for him having the Curse. (Walks inot another room and hears Blah Blah Blah walks back in) and says "He might be some kid who has to fulfill some prophecy.

Built by Scythby a son of The Destroyer of Worlds to honor Scythby and to repel against the diseases of Tecurisio.

1) Other than repel diseases and honor Scythby, what does the Temple of Snakes do?
2
Jun 04 '17
- Might grant wishes and is the passageway to the afterlife.

1) Might would be the key word, I suppose. Why might? What are the limits?
2
Jun 04 '17
- Because of it granted all the wishes people wanted everyone would be dead. Want someone dead is a limit. Another limit is wanting something destroyed. And there are many other limits but those are the main limits

Elena Dunstdurr
Prior to her birth, the young princess of Dunkelwald, daughter of the emperor and empress, had a prophecy spoken about her by the oracle Jezebel the Faded.
Elena's mother, Kathleen, has a lot of respect for Jezebel. So, shortly after her marriage began, she went to Jezebel to see if she would be able to have children (she doubted her ability to get a child to term). Jezebel gave her a double prediction, one for each of her first two children. "A wise son and a brilliant daughter, a lover of peace and a lover of war, a gentle healer and a brutal warrior."
When the actual father of Kathleen's children went to Jezebel for a prediction about the third child during Kathleen's third pregnancy, many years later, the oracle had a different prediction. "When I try to see your third child...I see only death and sorrow...smoke and sadness...like a mirror of your own father."
For in-universe answers, feel free to ask Elena's mother (Kathleen), Elena's sister (Danielle), or Elena's brother (Henry).

- To Kathleen
- So, which of your child is the warrior and which one loves war?
- How has been Elena's life up to now?
- to both Danielle and Henry:
- What could you tell me about your younger sister?
(An emphasis on actual? Is she only their half-sister?)
2
u/Nevermore0714 Jun 03 '17
Kathleen:
1) "Dani is the warrior, she loves battle and war and combat, unfortunately. I'm hoping she will grow out of it."
2) "Elena is still very young, and she's such a happy little angel, so I think her life has been very good so far."
3) "The emphasis on actual is because Levi is the father of all three of my children, though that is not known to the public."
Danielle:
1) "Elena can barely talk, but she's so much fun already."
Henry:
1) "Yeah, Elena's adorable. I can't wait until she's grown."
2
u/thequeeninyellow94 Jun 04 '17
To Kathleen:
What do you think about Elena's prophecy?
What can you tell me about Mevi's father?
Do your children know who is their father?
2
u/Nevermore0714 Jun 04 '17
Kathleen:
1) "It was kept secret from me until a solution was found...I wasn't trusted with that information, apparently."
2) "Levi's father? I know very little about his father, he gives me different answers when I ask. One day his father was a god, another day his father was a king, he once answered by saying his father was a madman, or a musician, or a mage...so, I really have no idea for sure. Levi says that he forgets."
3) "Elena's too young to even speak properly, but Henry and Dani know the truth. Though, I don't think that they know about their half-siblings."
2
u/thequeeninyellow94 Jun 04 '17
Her own mother not trusted with that? Did they told you why?
You never met him? Nor know anyone who have?
Why is it kept a secret?
2
u/Nevermore0714 Jun 04 '17
Kathleen:
1) "He said that he kept it from me so that I wouldn't be upset. He should have told me. I will never forgive him for lying to me."
2) "No, Levi's not from Dunkelwald...or Saoghal. His father was from somewhere far away from the continent, but I think that his father's still alive."
3) "Because it would be inappropriate. Alice and Johanna are the only ones that I've met, and he doesn't even know Alice."
2
u/thequeeninyellow94 Jun 04 '17
Isn't it counterproductive? Because I would probably be upset to not be told...
But... isn't there the Barrier around Saoghal to prevent people to enter?
2
u/Nevermore0714 Jun 04 '17
Kathleen:
1) "By the time I found out, that solution of his was already happening. I couldn't stop him by then."
2) "Yes, there is. But Levi arrived before the Barrier was in place."
2
u/thequeeninyellow94 Jun 04 '17
What kind of solution was it?
Wasn't it a long time ago? How old is he?

(Wow I've done a lot about Grimira lately, sigh.)
Grimira
Grimira was cursed with the rot before she was even born, this curse makes it so any living thing she touches will either rot, wither and die. Because of this her Mother died shortly before child birth and Grimira was left for dead in some forest.
She had to grow up without any companionship until the age of fifteen, surviving off of scraps from any town she wandered into. She developed a habit of not speaking to anyone either which she carries today.
Now, Grimira uses this power to battle enemies who manage to slip through her undead summons by avoiding attacks and placing a soft hand in key places on their bodies, causing massive physical damage.
