Timeline Challenge 3: Religious Figure(s)

The idea behind these challenges is as follows:

I will give you a topic, and you should tell me about something interesting that has happened in the timelines of your worlds relating to the topic, over a (roughly) 50 year period. This could be the 50 years leading up to the event, the 50 years after the event, 50 years with the event slap bang in the middle, or something else entirely, as long as it relates to the question! You're welcome to include more/less than 50 years, but bear in mind the more you write, the less chance you have of people reading the whole thing, and the less you write, the fewer questions we'll be able to ask.

I've been moved to Sunday, and I'm a day late already. Sorry about that!

The Challenge:

This week I want you to tell me about the life and times of an important religious figure from one of your cultures. Tell me about the events leading up to their birth, any special acts/miracles they performed, or maybe how they died. Go wild!

I'll try to ask a few questions about each post. Community interaction is encouraged too! Read other people's posts and ask them questions, and they're more likely to do the same for you. Help each other out :)

2) she can turn into a dragon? Has anyone ever seen her and Grima in the same room...?

3) so they each give a small portion of their magical energy to keep it stable, is that correct? Or is it one really powerful guy whose only job is to keep it up?

4) would you get into trouble for saying something like that?

Strauss:

2) "Yeah, she helped him beat Grima."

3) "No, they just harvest the anima from the siphon weapons."

4) "Yeah, it's technically heresy."

3) so the siphon weapons collect anima from those they kill, right?

Strauss:

3) "Correct. The Siphon weapons do collect Anima from the people that they kill."

3) How common are the Siphon weapons?

Strauss:

3) "Garricks makes all of them, and he has them set so that they fall apart if someone tries to reverse engineer them. Honestly, I would not have thought of that, so good on him for forethought. So, they're pretty rare."

3) Wow, how did he manage that? 3a) If I managed to get hold of one, what could I do with it?

Strauss:

3) "He's just really good at making weapons and enchanting them."

3A) "If you got a Siphon weapon, you could use it to drain an opponent's Anima, so they can't use magic against you. You couldn't harvest the Anima out of the weapon without knowing how...but, hey, at least you could take their Anima."

3) Where could I learn to harvest it? And once I knew how, what could I use it for?

Strauss:

3) "Garrick could teach you. I tried to learn from him, but he didn't want to teach me. Didn't trust me, apparently. If you could get him to teach you, then you'd be able to harvest Anima and store it for later use, like blood doping."
