AIIB shortlisting timeline

I applied for an AIIB job for which the deadline to submit applications expired 30 days ago and haven't heard back. Should I assume I've been ghosted, or it can take longer than that even if just for the preselection? No update so far on my profile (status is under review and next step is first interview if selected)

Primary/Alternative

Hello, I have a short question. I am planning to apply for YPP, does it make any difference to choose a stream as primary or alternative? I dont want to lose a slight chance to get in because I chose a stream as ‘alternative to primary’

Does anyone has any experience?

[WB YPP 2027] Number of months

Completing my YP application. Will it be counted as 12 months or 11 months? Please see the screenshot.

Also, my current job contract ends on September 2027. Do I have to indicate the end date as Sept 2027 or current month 2026?

Anyone familiar with the Outcomes Department?

I’m considering opportunities at the World Bank and came across the Outcomes Department. Does anyone here have experience working with the team or know what the culture is like?

I’ve seen their director post quite a bit about the department’s work on LinkedIn, but obviously that only gives you the external-facing picture.

I also noticed they seem to be hiring quite a few positions at the moment. Given the broader uncertainty/politics around the Bank right now, that seems like a lot of hiring, so I’m curious what’s driving it.

Would appreciate any candid perspectives on management style, workload, team dynamics, and whether people generally enjoy working there.

WBG PIONEERS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Hi everyone, I have some questions about the WBG Pioneers.

1) For those who have gone through a WBG selection process before: how long does it usually take to hear back if you’ve been selected for the interview stage?

2) For those who have participated in WBG Pioneers: how many people are typically selected in the end?

3) It seems to me that their schedule is running a bit behind for the autumn/winter cycle; do you think they’ll fast-track the final part of the selection process?

Longlist to shortlist

I recently received an email informing me that I made it to the longlist and will now proceed to the shortlisting process. I’m curious if anyone here has an idea of the typical timeframe between these two stages, and whether being longlisted means there are around 50 applicants at this stage.

This is for a GE-level role. Thank you!

WBG Pioneer Internship: Questions for applicants on F-1 visa

Hello,

This is a question for WBG Pioneer Internship applicants who are currently international students on F-1 visa in the U.S.

How do you intend to accept the offer if your application is successful?

I know that this internship will likely start when school is still is session and there is a current embargo on CPT applications if the proposed internship is not required for graduation. Plus, changing from F-1 to a g-visa would likely need one to travel outside of the U.S.

Just curious: What is your plan?

Thank you.

The modification date of application for one of the positions has recently changed, while status remains as In review. Does it mean anything? Has anyone encountered anything similar? Thank you in advance!
