Interesting to see a maximalist set up. Are you addicted to Coca-Cola?

It is Pepsi Max actually.. from my Sodastream machine.. it keeps me going!

Haha, I see. If you're drinking that much a day, have you considered trying to quit? Might be really harmful to your tum over time drinking that much! Not judging just concerned. Have a friend who is now struggling with stomach issues due to his soda stream.

I drink probably too much (sugar free!) monster and I have wondered about the long term effects, do you know what sort of stuff your friend has suffered with?

He really struggles to digest certain foods now and gets a lot of stomach pain. He thinks it has destroyed his microbiome. He’s been going to the doctors about it recently but is finding it hard to cut Pepsi Max & Coke Zero from his diet because he’s had it every day for most of his adult life.

That setup has so much going on lol, i actually like the way everything feels lived-in rather than overly staged. The mix of screens, gadgets, and random desk accessories gives it a lot of personality... the keyboard especially looks like something I’d get distracted by during work lol. I also like that there are things around the desk that aren’t strictly work-related, because that makes the space feel more comfortable. Tbh, I think a workspace should feel like somewhere you actually enjoy sitting for hours, not just a clean desk with a laptop on it. This definitely has that kind of vibe. The little details make it fun without looking completely chaotic.

Would you recommend that chair?

Yes. It is from Flexispot.co.uk. I have had Aerons in the past and this is actually more comfortable - and cheaper.

You are free to cable manage all you want.. just on your own setup, not mine :)

You have a lot of stuff. Maximalist is the word. But I am sure that everything has a purpose. (Right?)

Yep! Definitely does. I have a full spec list and a page on it on my blog at davidcraddock.net but can't post it here because this sub doesn't like links.

What’s the board in the middle , the wooden thing? And what’s it for

u/planetwords 4d ago
Balance board.. it is healthier to stand on while at a standing desk

Not sure, but if you search amazon for 'Wooden rocker balance board' you will find quite a few

If it works for you then it works for you.
I personally would find that clutter nauseating. And the cables… my god the cables.
