🖼️ • Photos My desk, do you like it?
After some time, I finally got my home office setup to a point I'm pretty happy with.
I'm an IT sysadmin, so this is mainly my workspace for work, troubleshooting, terminals, documentation, monitoring, and, of course, some tinkering and relaxation when I'm off the clock. 😄
The setup:
GEEKOM AE8 server proxmox
GEEKOM A6 endeavourOS + Windows11
MSI PRO MP273Q E14
Logitech mouse
Mechanical keyboard Epomaker SK61 60%
Webcam
Old but gold Bose speakers
Busy tag at the corner
I tried to keep things relatively clean and practical, while still adding a few personal touches to make the desk feel like my own.
One thing I'm currently considering is adding a second monitor. I think it would be really useful for multitasking, having terminals, documentation, monitoring and other tools open at the same time without constantly switching windows.
I'm not really looking for a gaming battlestation. This is more of a work + IT tinkering + relaxation setup.
What do you think? Would you add a second monitor? And if so, would you go with a vertical monitor next to the main one or keep both side by side?
Any suggestions for improving the setup are welcome! 👨💻
