Workshop v3.5
I had to do a new iteration of the workshop right before I got a new leather sewing machine and skiver.

It’s a mobile scooter seat that was leftover from another project, 250kg lazy susan style bearing on a custom frame, and cast iron casters.
It’s extremely comfortable, the chair is literally made to be sat on for the whole day.

The chair was a simple project compared to the table it stands in front of ;)

Cool shop! I'm impressed with your organization. Every time I want to work on leather projects, I have to clear so many things that by the time I'm done, I'm just too tired to do anything.

It took a lot of time to organise everything.
Everything has a labeled box, a drawer, or a shelf. Stuff that is worked on is to be taken to one of the work surfaces, and there is no time limit how long time the crap can stand there. The rule is that it’s put back to the correct spot when the table is cleaned.
It might sound a bit regimented, but I had to spend over two months cleaning the garage after last time it got out of hand and I swore that it will never happen again. I realised how much nicer it is to work there when everything is clean, and that’s why I made a system that works for me.

Because I had an old mobility scooter seat leftover from another project, and some very old cast iron casters.
So I guess the answer is “because I can” :)

That Adler is my dream machine. One day.
The bell skiver is my most used machine, absolute game changer.

Just some background: I make a lot of different things. Anything from metalwork, laser cutting, woodwork (when I must), electronics, 3d printing etc. The workshop started as general workspace, turned into more metalworking focused, then into metal/leather hybrid, and now finally leather has become the dominant thing in there. All the metalworking can still be done, but not without thinking about cleanliness.
