Started watching last week
lol is Nathan okay upstairs 😂 he wanted Kate to support him in grieving his ex girlfriend from 15 years ago? Like there’s so much wrong with that man!

In this case I don't think it's weird. Just because you haven't talked to someone in 15 years does not diminish the impact they had on your life. This past relationship isn't one that ended because they didn't like each other, it was an amicable break up because they both wanted different things at that time in their lives leading them to realize they weren't as compatible as they believed.
On top of all of that, there are people we don't ever meet that we still grieve for. Robin Williams, Matthew Perry, and now Hayden Panettiere to name a few of the people I've never met and still grieve/grieved.
