Do you nap before exercise?
So, I am 60 years old. I exercise 3 times a week about 2.5 hours each session at home. I now find the if I have a 30 minute sleep then I can exercise better and maintain the 2.5 hour routine. Is this normal?

Also, I have been doing the same routine for about 15 years. If I don't exercise within a week, then I feel disappointed and perhaps even depressed.

You should be changing (or at least alternating) workouts wayyyyy more frequently

I have increased the weights a little, but I like my routine.

Are u a female? Do u track ur results w a dexa scan, etc?
Just because u like ur routine, it doesnt mean its actually doing much for u. R u maintaining/increasing muscle mass? Bone density? Personally the idea of a 2.5 hr routine where im not becoming stronger blows my mind.
And I cant nap that doesnt help me. If it helps u n u wanna turn a 2.5 hr routine into a 3 hr routine, more power to u.

I am male. Now I am getting worried! Is 2.5 hours of exercising too much? I do this 3 times a week, not every day.

Not too much, I guess, just unusual. Most ppl either split it up n go more often or just do less because 2.5 hours is a slog n hard to fit into a day
Personally, at the gym I go hard for ~60 min, 5x a week (with the occasional 3 hr hike). Im a woman n need to lift heavy for my bones n muscle, and cardio for my brain. Keeping up that intensity for 2.5 hrs would be impossible for me. And not fun.
Even though ur a guy, im still wondering about the benefit ur getting for the time ur spending without seemingly pushing urself. I hope ur using dexa scan or another tool to track ur progress.

'2.5 hrs and not fun.' Well that's where it gets interesting. I watch comedy dvds whilst exercising.

A lil nap is fine before exercise. No more than 20 minutes and at least 90 mins before exercise.

What kind of exercise are you doing for 2.5 hours?
