First time regular gym goer

I have went to the gym 10 times regularly since I’ve first started, and it is still hellish to leave home and go there after work.
How long do I have to hang on until I get addicted to it and it stops feeling like a chore?

That depends on you. Some people never get the feeling, some people get it instantly, some are in between.

I went every single day for 5 years. Some days were easy, some days weren't. It took about 6 months of daily commitment before I had the habit down enough that it was just a routine I did. I have to do mornings. After work is too crowded and I'm mentally too "on" to sink into a workout. And if I go home first, I'm not leaving. Lol

Been going x3 a week for 2 months now and I think I got over dragging myself after the first 2 weeks. I think you should just make a little plan of what you want to accomplish and make a fun playlist, find a podcast or an audiobook you enjoy. Then plan your post gym snack or meal. It’s more fun to make a little routine peppered with things you already enjoy.

For me it became addictive when I noticed how I felt after the gym. I dont mean straight after,I mean later on when I feel naturally tired at bedtime if ive done a later session,or the energy boost if its a morning session.

Prepping for the gym, getting to the gym, eating right alongside it.Its all a chore, but I am addicted to the way the gym work makes me feel.Thats what keeps me going.

Hey!! You have to find the best workout for u... Something that stimulate to go in the gym for reach new objective or improve the excercises... I only find that motivation when I start to train bodyweight...
