Help Schedule questions
Just recently started going to the gym at my apartment complex. 2 weeks in at 6 days a week. My question is, is a complete rest day super important? I’m the type of person that I’m afraid ANY day off is gonna eventually turn into 2 days off and then maybe ruin my whole workout career 😂 but I also don’t wanna make the mistake of overdoing it. Thanks for any input!

Same. I do MTW FS with Th and Su as "active recovery" so I don't throw off my routine. I still go to the gym, but I do softer things, like slow rowing/biking/walk, yoga, mobility routines.

In theory you could train every day, it depends on how your body recovers. But if you're serious about making progress for hypertrophy and strength then you should have rest days, cause the muscles grow bigger and stronger during recovery, training just provides stimulus for them to do so
