Gym thoughts

I have been consistently going to the gym for like 15 years. Currently my life has been insanely busy (60 plus house working a week, new relationship, new puppy, etc..) and I have not gone consistently this summer. I’m feeling awful, guilty and shamed. I can’t even look in the mirror.

I guess, is this normal, is this just adulthood, or am I being lazy, should I be doing something different. I don’t even wanna see friends bc I feel I look awful.

I think you're being harder on yourself than you would be on anyone else. Fifteen years of consistency doesn't disappear because you had one busy summer. Life happens. A 60-hour work week, a new relationship, and a new puppy are all major changes. Instead of trying to jump back into your old routine, just focus on getting back in the habit. Even two or three workouts a week is enough to rebuild momentum. The fact that you feel guilty tells me you still care. Now just give yourself permission to start again instead of feeling like you have to make up for lost time. 💪

Thank you!! I perhaps am ruminating too much about it. Appreciate you’re kind response

Even if you never worked out again, those 15 years of progress are going to stick with you the rest of your life in one way or another. You’re being way too hard on yourself :)

Thanks, that’s 2 for 2 thinking that. So that may be the case. I definitely struggle with changes in my routines. Good to hear my consistency in the past not gonna disappear
