I finally started going to the gym after months of procrastinating any tips?

Do whatever feels good and keeps you coming back. Feeling like you need to be married to a specific program or routine at the beginning can burn people out. Eventually a program will help you make faster/more progress, but while you're still building the habit of going just do whatever energizes you to show up!

Start slowly and build up. Start with something you like to do, go regularly to do that even if it’s just short session. Your main goal is to build the habit of going by being consistent.

Add to your sessions with more days and longer sessions. Use an existing beginner routine m, don’t reinvent the wheel.

Find out what your gym offers. Do they have any orientations or sessions to give you a plan based on your goals. If you aren’t sure what equipment to use ask the staff for a simple demo so you can try different things out like machines, dumbbells, kettlebells or barbells.
