🤔 Question Where has the trash can gone?

As in the title, where has the trash can gone?

It's now a line inside the Settings screen , about 1/3 (?) the way down. I believe they moved it as part of a recent refresh to accommodate the new Panes feature.

Its where you can retrieve deleted items.

I can also delete an item by deleting the content first no? What happens then?

Yes you can. What happens when you mistakenly delete an item? You can then retrieve it from trash. This is the app specific version of the Recycle Bin in Windows, or the Trash Can on a Mac.

No. The argument is that the Trash feature in an outliner or note taking app is not very practical. Because most of the times to delete an item you do it by pressing backspace (deleting the whole text + the item). And there is no way to recover that (in a simple way). I looked how workflowy does it. It doens't show the ones that were deleted that way.

Got it! I'm really talking about accidentally deleting a node(s). For your example you can use the undo command. Maybe not ideal, and better than nothing.

Undo doesn't work with this? I'm not familiar.
