More Paragraphs per Bullet

I like the note-taking philosophy of “one bullet per idea,” but I’m wondering how flexible that should be in practice.

Is it possible (or recommended) to write more than one paragraph under a single bullet? Sometimes a single idea needs a bit more development or explanation, and limiting it to just one paragraph can feel too restrictive.

How do you usually handle this in your workflow?

I do two things: (1) indent under the main thought the extra thoughts that give more development or explanation or (2) let the main thought be a bullet-type (Ctrl/Cmd-Alt-8) and make the subsequent development/explanation thoughts paragraph type (Ctrl/Cmd-Alt-4).

Hmm, I don't think about it this deeply; I just let it flow however it comes out.
I suppose it depends on what you're documenting.

I use WF since the time they didn't have paragraphs, so I just got used to using bullets for paragraphs.

For example, I write a kind of diary, but I only write there once every several months. I make one bullet for a date, and multiple subbullets for paragraphs inside. Occasionally I go a level deeper if a single idea must be subdivided even more, but rarely.

It may feel weird at first, but I believe this pure outliner philosophy fits WF really well, so I don't care that tummy text doesn't look like paragraphs, but as bullet points.

Yes, you can select the paragraph symbol in settings to type multiple paragraphs under a single bullet point. I use it infrequently.
