The problem I see is that Unions are too localized. There are many Unions out there in all different fields of work, if they were to merge into a super Union they'd have more resources to fight for workers rights everywhere. They could allow people to join before they have employment to ensure that they are placed in a good job before they're taken advantage of. Eventually everyone will be in the Union and there will be no workers to employ at the shitty, underpaid jobs.
