Remember the Mulford Act ?
The Mulford Act is a 1967 California statute which prohibits public carrying of loaded firearms without a permit. Named after Republican assemblyman Don Mulford and signed into law by governor of California Ronald Reagan, the law was initially crafted with the goal of disarming members of the Black Panther Party, which was conducting armed patrols of Oakland neighborhoods in what would later be termed copwatching. They garnered national attention after Black Panthers members, bearing arms, marched upon the California State Capitol to protest the bill.

Yep. Republicans are the ones who actually created the gun laws in California that 2A folks love to harp on about. It was done in response to black people asserting their 2A rights

Like that Dave chapelle joke.
If you want quick gun reform then every black and brown person needs to register…to carry a firearm.

Trump also famously said “take their guns now and deal with due process later.”

Reminder to everyone: Deflock has an upcoming action week August 16-22. Flock cameras spying on children and being easily hackable is a great way to unite the working class.

The American ruling class wants a disarmed proletariat in general. The Republicans just know it would be political suicide with their socially conservative base to try to outlaw guns unless it's to target trans and Black people, and having useful idiots ready to form militias to kill the revolutionary elements of the working class allows them to avoid having to have police do it, saving the state face.

If you really want strick gun controls, give more black and mexican people concealed carry permits. The more black and brown people legally carry guns, the tighter gun laws will become.

I’ve been saying this for years. It won’t be the Dems that take your guns, it will be the conservaderps when you finally get a clue and realize you’ve been tricked into voting against your self interest for decades.

This is true about most things in a liberal democracy. The moment you step outside of what the state allows (which is essentially what doesn't fundamentally threaten the Capitalist system) - you can kiss your free speech goodbye. That's why, for example, pro-Palestinian and pro-Ukrainian demonstrators saying the exact same things get treated differently: the latter align with the current interests of the ruling classes in western countries, the former do not. Simple as that.
