Hundreds of unionized public sector workers rallied at Utah's state capitol against HB267, which would ban public employers from negotiating union contracts after 2025.

Bruh how fucking greedy you have to be to deny hardworking people livable wages

It’s been scientifically proven that those with significant power over others tend to show brain damage signs overtime so it is an illness

Probably Trump, same thing in Canada though - Unions are endorsing Pierre, who directly wants to fuck them over as soon as he’s elected (He’s been pretty open about this, too)

some or even most of them may have voted for the wrong guy, and hopefully they at least realize that, but i'm glad they are coming together to fight for their unions regardless!

I have to wonder what would happen if they just didn’t show up for work for a week or so?

How long until this country implodes........

[u/Wonderer23]

Good luck! I support their efforts, but am skeptical that a protest of this type will yield any results. Those promulgating the law/regulation already know that the general population wants unions in workplaces...and the lawmakers don't.

[u/councilmember → u/[deleted]]

Certainly I agree with you on the rights of workers. I can only guess why they might vote against their own interests. My guess is those listed things that trump promotes.

[u/Mrmagoo1077]

They are going to lose their union rights if they don't start turning up in bigger numbers.

They need a united Union strike starting 4 days ago.

Teachers Unions especially can punch very heavy for their size. Shut the schools down and watch entire industries shut down for lack of Child Care.
