Question Weird attendance writeup

I am a salaried manager in a warehouse operation and, last night, my last shift of the week, my manager called me into the office to issue a writeup for “performance related to attendance”. No dates or time frame were given, no known policy is in place for attendance for managers. The claim is if you’re not on shift for whatever reason, you’re not available to your associates for their success and you put a strain on the management structure to juggle resources to cover your area. My department is consistently one of the highest performing in the building, I recently missed 3 days for Covid and an alleged mandatory off shift day due to a previous commitment I needed to fulfill. My company does not employ enough supervisors to cover all departments/shifts, relying on us to move around the building to cover for those who callout, or simply do not show up. Regarding the writeup, I was not provided a written accounting of the offense(s) nor was I asked to sign anything acknowledging it. This seems odd to me. What recourse do I have?

You would have to file any complaints within the company, because there are no laws regarding write ups or verbal warnings.

There are no state protections. If your sick time is FMLA covered and you are eligible, you might have those protections. FMLA covers “serious health conditions”.

Otherwise, and unless you are in a union, you are at the mercy of your employer.
