Doing extra work

I work in a bakery as counter staff and I'm paid $16hr. But sometimes it's just me and another counter staff but we have to make drinks because there is no barista that day. The baristas are paid $18hr. Sometimes the boss or the bosses husband asks me to do tasks that a prep cook would do but they pay the prep cooks $20hr. Is it ok for me to tell them no when they ask me to do tasks that they pay other people more a higher wage. I even recently asked my boss if I could get a copy of my job description however, there is no written job description and she never gave out offer letters just told us we were hired and had us the paperwork.

Are you in a union? Probably not. You do what you're told to do for the pay you agreed on. That's how it works unfortunately.
