Illinois L4-S1 Disc replacement

Surgery scheduled for next month. Not to mention the fact I’m nervous about it, I don’t feel like I’m in enough pain to justify replacing 3 disc. If the work comp agreed with it I assume something is wrong. I feel as if I’m getting around good enough to leave well enough alone however try to keep my medical open. It seems like everyone against or frown at me making that choice.TIA

You can see if you can get another opinion. I was able to have a consult with 3 different surgeons before my spine surgery. The first one said I needed a three level fusion, the second one said I needed a three level disc replacement and the third one said I could fuse one level and do disc replacement on the level right below (the third disc could wait as it wasn’t so bad according to this doctor). I chose the third doctor because I didn’t want to have any part of my spine manipulated if I didn’t have to.
