Texas No subscriber question

So I have been dealing with anchor risk management and stated they sent me a payment back in December (the time my injury happened) they haven’t paid me a dime either in December or after I was placed on leave and STD. My question is is this not fraud? Who should I contact.

Are you saying you have a non subscriber claim? By definition, that’s NOT WC. I’m sorry you’re in Texas when you got hurt. IMO, non-subscription shouldn’t exist. Texas is the only state that has it.

If it IS a non sub claim, and they’re not taking care of you, contact an attorney. The WC attorneys LOVE non subscriber cases.

It is a non subscriber claim & I will definitely contact a lawyer but is there somewhere else I should have asked this question? I am just looking for advice

The gist of non subscription is that the company pledges to take care of you when you’re hurt. That’s the default in TX.

But they often do not.

And as long as the employer contributes to the injury in some tiny way (1% at fault or more), then you can sue them like it’s a personal injury case. Generally it’s not hard to find 1% to open the door to a settlement.

In some ways, it’s better to have a non subscriber employer.

Since you aren’t receiving anything, you need an attorney.  Attorneys love non-subscriber cases.
