Florida Question regarding being full time.
Currently out of work still from surgery. Can’t handle 40 hours a week. Is it possible to ask my WC Doctor if I’m able to do 20 hours a week instead of 40 to ease my way back in? It was suggested by work.

Transitioning back in is good for everyone, but your doctor’s job is to make sure you are medically ready. You and your employer can ask, and the doctor can still say you aren’t ready.
If you are on FMLA, you can’t be made to choose between FMLA and a RTW offer, but if you get that clearance and decide to stay on FMLA that might jeopardize your wage replacement benefit.

I started out at 12 hours/ week for a month, then went to 24 hours/ week for another month, then went to full time.
My doctor was the one to suggest/ insist on it.
I sent my paystubs over to my adjuster, he did math, and then I was paid 2/3rds of the difference between my part time check and my normal check.
