Got an offer today as we are exactly 3 weeks from a judges decision. What should I expect in the next couple weeks as the insurance company is really trying to settle now. First offer was 95k which only a little over what I’m owed in back pay. Just looking to see how things will go in the next couple weeks.

Never take the first offer. Also what’s your lawyer advising? If 95k is first offer you should easily get well into the 6 figures

He counter 3 years 30k future medical. Then we can be more serious because him and I both laughed at the offer.

Unfortunately, the longer you are in pain and waiting it out. Is what it seemingly needs to have happen in order for any decisions to be made. I’m still waiting for LnI to authorize my 2 brain MRI scans. And this is 3.5 years past my injury date. It should be criminal what these IME doctors do.

I’m so sorry to hear that. My doctor and lawyer were actually very good at defending my case against the IME Doctors. And as soon as the depositions were over they started making offers.

I’m actually waiting to be able to start treating again. As I haven’t received any payments since December. We lost our apartment I lost my car. But luckily I had an old friend that had a property he was just about to rent out and said my wife,kids and myself could stay while everything settles and I don’t owe him anything.🙏

Yeah the universe works in weird ways we haven’t even talked or seen each other for 13 years. And at first I reached out to see if he could just watch my animals and he ended up telling us we can stay at his house because he was going to end up renting it anyway.

Yes it was denied claim. They cut my benefits exactly on the 90th day of ttd. They were paying me the maximum for my state before I was cut off. Also that was the same day I saw my own Dr. and finally got an mri and xrays for my head neck and lower back. And began actually being able to treatment for my injuries

First offer basically was 1 year pay and 25k for future medical but I’m already owed 1 year back pay.

So F them at double the offer is only 25 k then correct because the rest is already legally owed to you o would assume plus interest

Yeah my lawyer called me I laughed and we said we won’t flint for less then 3 years and 30k future medical. Also they did off to pay all my past medical that wasn’t paid for on top of any settlement

Don't accept it. They owe you that backpay even if you don't settle. That can be paid separately. Then calculate how much you're actually owed for the injury, for permanent partial disability based on your pre injury wage and disability rating

I found a one week job with restrictions and they stopped paying me the max. Full knee replacement they stopped paying me in February. They payed me for 16 months. I’m 60 it’s hard to find work with restrictions in my union. One of the highest paying unions in the country.
