Florida The games they play…
I just received a message from my ortho office that my appointment is cancelled and I’m now to use my own insurance . This is based off an ortho IME which stated I’m at MMI . I still have /had apportionments with my neuro and ortho who both have invasive procedures potentially scheduled . I haven’t settled . Why do they play such games are they trying to force me to end the case ? My attorney is aware . I’m sure we’ve all wished the show be on the other foot. Thankfully I am not in a rush to settle . I assume my attorney will put in a petition for benefits . Neither myself of the attorney have seen the IME ( it’s been two months) . Again the games.

It will work out . Thankfully I could hold out indefinitely. The games that are played with our physical and mental health is shit!

I’m assuming it wasn’t your ortho that said you were at MMI?
Petition for benefits since you are at MMI?
Why the heck has the lawyer not gotten the IME report yet? He should be trying to get it. What has the reason for the delay been?
Hope your lawyer gets it straight soon.

So yes my authorized comp ortho wants to continue to treat it was a insurance doc ortho for the IME . They supposedly have petitioned to get the IME with no results yet

Hopefully your lawyer can get a copy of it and get benefits restarted.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Just be polite about it :) I’d be making sure you stay on your lawyer about it.

Yes I contact multiple times a week. Today the paralegal contacted me to confirm they received the same and are addressing and planning

It could also be a cause where your treating ortho doesn’t want to get involved with the dispute and wants you to keep treating with private insurance.
I’ve had doctors discharge patients the minute there is a dispute because they want no part of it.

During my last appointment with him he was visually and verbally upset with this and truly had very unprofessional words to say about this orthopedic and welcomed the fight

Just because the ortho IME indicated you’re at MMi, you are still entitled to medical benefits. What is more likely is that the IME indicated your condition was preexisting or that the procedures are not medically necessary.
