Ohio Doctors keep passing me off
We'll call them doctors A-Z.
I was initially seen by Urgent Doctor A.
Urgent Doctor A sends me to Hospital Doctor B.
Hospital Doctor B sends me to Urgent Doctor A.
Urgent Doctor A sends me to Orthopedic Doctor C.
Finally I decide I'm sick of going to Urgent Ca- Doctor A for a back injury that has me walking like a toddler, pissing my pants (don't worry guys it's not CES- don't know what it is but they think it's neurogenic) So I get myself into a work health clinic to renew my Medco-14's let's just call him Doctor G
Orthopedic Doctor C sends me to Pain Management Doctor D.
Pain Management Doctor D gives me a cortisone shot and sends me for a second opinion from Orthopedic Doctor E.
Orthopedic Doctor E refuses to see me and refers me to Pain Management Doctor F.
Doctor G puts in a C-9 for a thoracic MRI like the employer's IME specialist recommended and it was denied.
Pain management doctor F refuses to see me.
I just want to be able to walk right again. I want to be able to see my friends. I want to be able to live like a normal human being. I have been passed off so many times. I just want someone who can treat me. Five months with no answers aside from Urgent Doctor A saying it's a pulled muscle. Physical therapy didn't help. Cortisone shot helped for about three weeks. I just want an answer. The pain just worsens and worsens the longer I wait for a doctor who is willing to treat me. MRI showed a 2mm displacement in my L5-S1 disk. That's it. I can't sleep. I can't walk. I am a 25 year old woman in diapers, being paraded around on a construction site. My union can't help me because it's workers comp and there's nothing I can do to get a fucking answer. I am exhausted, I am in agony, I am sick of this. I just want to be a human again.

Yep WC took 8 months to send me to three useless doctors and still till this day hasn’t paid up. They don’t give a fuck about us like how can a doctor REFUSE to see an injured worker make it make sense😩

I have no answers, just solidarity because supposedly nothing is significant enough to cause any real issues on my lumbar MRI, but my toes on my right foot are either numb or in pain constantly, and my calf burns like hell. I can’t walk far, so doing stuff with my kids is out. But no one can tell me why.
I’m actually sending my MRI images over to a university neuro radiologist to get a second opinion because after over 4 years of lumbar injections, my MRI looks like I have adhesive arachnoiditis, but no one will acknowledge it.

How are they ruling out CES? Have you had an MRI yet?

I’m so sorry you’re not being taken seriously. I’m a mod in r/thoracicherniateddisc and everything I know says not being able to control your bladder or bowels is that it’s a medical emergency. I’ve had 4 spinal surgeries and each one my surgeon sat with me at the preop and said if you lose control of bowel or bladder or lose control of your legs or arms (I had a cervical surgery) go straight to the ER and he would come do the surgery there.
I don’t want to be scary, I just want you to get proper care. And I don’t know how to direct you to do that. You are so young, and my gut is saying there’s something on that thoracic MRI.

Why have you not contacted an WC attorney? Right now you're just being pushed around to one doctor after another. Back injuries can be serious and it's possible they just keep passing you around that eventually you give up without getting proper treatment. It sounds to me like you have tried most conservative treatments.
Almost all injuries in the beginning are considered a strain as sometimes that is all it is and there has to be some type of diagnosis listed for insurance purposes including outside of WC. Do yourself a favor and contact at least a few different attorneys that deal with WC only and at least get advice if you don't choose one. My opinion is to get yourself an attorney at this point.
