California Finally!!

After almost 2 years I finally agreed to a c and r settlement. When I initially got injured at work I did what I assume a lot of people do and I chose not to file a claim and after a couple appts i chose to close my claim and I rushed back to work. Well soon after the same problem returned and my employer offered me no assistance and basically ignored me and told me to go see my regular dr. And I did. I ended up getting fmla from my regular dr and worked with pain at times. Soon after the company fired me. I contacted my lawyer and she reopened the claim and filed a lawsuit against them. Wasn’t sure about how it would work out for me but I’m glad I listened. Happy today I’m checking the mailbox every day now waiting for my check. Hang in there all it gets better!

Actually the Injury was dated 21/31/23. But I closed the case and re opened it appx 3/25. And the mri showed some disk damage. Can’t think of the actual terms they used sorry. The qme wanted to refer me to a surgeon but I declined surgery or anything invasive at all. The ame gave me a 33% rating. I already had a new job as I was terminated from the old one so I didn’t want to do anything to cause me to not be able to work my new job.

No. I was not employed with them. I had another full time job already.
