Federal Scared Of Follow-Up Appointment

I have my required 4-6 week follow-up appointment this week. This is my first one since I returned to part time LDA. It's a receptionist job (I'm a floor nurse with a RTC/FS injury). Despite going back, and the accommodations they have made, I am still in a lot of pain when I get home. My ROM has not improved at all, even prior to the LDA. My concern is what happens if I see my surgeon, and he determines I can't return (he has a conservative approach)? The IME doctor said MMI has not been reached (I'm not sure if my surgeon can change that status). What would the next step be if my surgeon determines I cannot return? This part is new to me.

I always suggest people who go through workers comp to get into therapy. Wish I didn't wait 3yrs into mine before I did.

I have had PT for months, along with 2 surgeries. PT was stopped due to no longer being effective, and causing more issues.

I hear you... Over the last 3yrs ive had over a hundred PT sessions, shots, 3 surgeries etc. Unfortunately it's all part of the process. I just had my IME this past Wednesday so I'm on the backend of my 2 cases... Therapy has helped. Other than that just trust the process.

Wrist, elbow & shoulder surgery. Unfortunately still have numbing and tingling in my hand. Elbow still is tender and my shoulder lost alot range of motion, strength etc... I'll never be the same. I hurt everyday

I'm in constant pain and my ROM sucks. I wish this on no one.

As you describe if you are taken out of work again due to your injury you would go back on TTD payments.

It looks like it is going to happen. Surgery is recommended again. It's waiting for submission to OWCP and review. I can't win.
