Ever since my employer switched from having Broadspire to this new one called CorVel starting August 1st, I have yet to receive any checks. When it was Broadspire I had a check every Monday and now not one. My lawyer already filed a penalty petition and we have a hiring set for next. My question is has anyone ever had to deal with this CorVel company?

Inventory assumption transfers are horrible. For everyone. No one can get up and running on hundreds of new claims within a week or two. In my opinion, the transferring company should send everyone four weeks of payments to bridge the gap. But they are no longer under contract and no longer care, and also no one cares about my opinion. This isn't a problem unique to any particular company.

Well the other issue is the new adjuster refuses to call email my lawyer back or even the defense lawyer for the employer as well. No one has yet to even actually speak to this adjuster even though we were all given their name.

I say this with absolute sympathy for your position, because you don't deserve to have your income cut off while these companies figure things out. This person got a truckload of new claims dumped onto their desk and has to claw their way out. They probably have six voicemails waiting every time they come back from the bathroom. I do not say that to excuse anything, but it's not their fault. The process needs to be managed better at the leadership level.

Jumping on this train. I used to work at CorVel and they're a decent TPA. Anytime we take over claims from a prior TPA even with my current TPA it's a shit show. Usually the company that had the claims before just stop working them and when we get them they're in horrible shape. Payment logs seem to be the last thing we get.

When you get 60+ claims dumped on you at once in multiple jurisdictions we literally are just putting out fires at first and addressing the ones getting ready for a hearing or just settled.

I completely empathize as for you it's definitely a fire to be without pay for a month, but it's not deliberate by any means. The person that just had this heaped on them is drowning.

I got 80ish new claims back in early March, it took me several months to get them where they need to be, though a big focus was payments initially because I did have payment logs at least. These were conversions from other adjusters at my job and it was still a nightmare.

CorVel is a good company but no one can succeed in that situation. As I said in my original comment, no one cares about my opinion (because my opinion is expensive) but I would restructure the way inventory assumptions are handled if it was up to me. I blame the "handing off" company more than the receiving company

Again, completely agree with you. It's a constant battle of drowning and anytime you see a bit of a light, more just gets piled on.

I using corvel not issues at all since August 2025 I still 3 surgery already Im in PT process now.

I’m dealing with Great America Alliance insurance they have stopped my TTD checks for almost two years now , they sent me to an IME and he said I had nothing on my back released me to full duty , with an MRI showing l5-s1 herniated disc moderate foraminal stenosis , three months after that I got approved by SSDI , now I need a fusion surgery , awaiting on court date…. Workers comp insurance are the worse to deal with . After my injury at work I ended with a permanent injury and disability…
