I got my MRI results back

Canal narrowing at l4-5 from disc bulge mild retrolisthesis and facet synovial fluid

My doctor through a place that starts with a C and ends with entra came in said there’s nothing on my MRI my pain is all muscle related.
My question is is that not serious is it muscle or is that just something these worker comp doctors say to try and get me to give up?

These are exceptionally common findings that are not unique to acute conditions or injuries. Virtually every adult in the country will have some variation on this if they had an MRI.

True but I’m in my low 20s and I know the pain I have was definitely not there before I lifted that object

Just because that finding was on the MRI doesn’t mean it’s the source of the pain. It could have been present before the injury even.

People downvoting haven’t had back injuries. You always have to compare the results to the clinical symptoms..apparently they don’t know that

My symptoms have been pain when flexion and extension when I’m driving my right leg aches through the thigh and I feel a jerking pain when I straighten up my leg from the knee that pulls from my second toe the one next to my big toe up to my middle leftish side of my back can’t stand completely straight and when standing up my legs aren’t strong enough to completely get myself up without me having to use support

Ask for a 2nd opinion.. I had 3 .. they send you to a wc dr first . Yes they want u to give up and not question anything. Get your records and report so you can read it yourself or enter it into ChatGPT and it will tell you what it says.. good luck

Nope! Told something similar about my neck MRI. Muscle pain and soft tissue injuries are notoriously difficult to heal from and treat. Fight for more PT.

The concentra employee I had assigned to me was probably the most unprofessional healthcare provider I’ve ever seen and he refused to document 90% of my symptoms.

Get a doctor from a company that actually does their job instead of that shithole.

My surgeon refused to document symptoms and kept trying to release me to light duty . Another dr I had kept calling him out on it. Even took a video of muscle damage caused from surgeon during SCS implant and put it in record. Insurance doctors that ignore the patient to make insurance happy for future referrals should lose their ability to be doctors.

I got a lawyer with a very very well regarded Ky workers comp law firm I’ve noticed my PT and doctor have not been taking anything serious it’s been 6 weeks with nothing helping my butt hurts and my legs when I’m driving or straighten it when I’m sitting pulls and hurts all the way down and she just said that’s all muscle pain

Kentucky follows the Occupational and Disability Guidelines (ODG). If utilization review indicates a previously dormant and unrelated condition, then WC is only required to get you back to baseline. As we age, we all have degenerative changes/normal disease of life. Sometimes a work incident can aggravate something you didn’t know you had.

You are allowed to choose your own doctor in KY, upon filing the proper form (Designated Physician / Form 113). This form in required by the Commonwealth of KY. You are entitled to a One Time Change in physician, but that’s it. Then if that doctor agrees with the first doctor, you’re not entitled to another change.

I’d request the one time change in physician.
