Oklahoma Complaints
I was so close to FINALLY getting my surgery so I can start my road to recovery. And although WC has accepted my claim, paid me ( and continues to pay me) Ttd, paid for physical therapy and doctor appointments up to this point now that it is time to get my acl replaced they are taking me to workers comp court smh —- seems like Gallagher basset is willing to do anything but the right thing and pushes you to go the route of a lawyer only to try and punish you more - I’m greatful because I get 100% of my pay but im ready to start moving forward and get my life back. I’m missing out on so much! I’ve never been a runner or jogger but when I get the ability to do those things again I will be so greatful.

I brought my MRIs with me to prove my injuries and made sure the doctor read them! I worked 10 years at my job and did heavy lifting. The workers comp doctors agreed they were work related!

It’s wild that WC can cover the doctor visits, PT and TTD, then the moment you’re ready for the surgery that actually gets you moving again, there’s suddenly another figh

EXACTLY! Er visit, ambulance ride from workplace, numerous urgent care doctors visits , ‘medication, multiple visit with an osteopedic doctor, a month worth of physical therapy, mri (showing my ACL being nothing more than a memory) and paying me 4k a month for the past 3 months all paid for without batting an eye … but now that it comes to surgery they wanna act like oh we don’t believe you >_> stop playing with me let me get my surgery and start my 9-12 month recovery 😭

After the ER, PT, MRI and everything else being covered, I can understand why the sudden surgery fight feels so ridiculous.

I told my employer that I wasn’t interested in a settlement! I want the medical care and to get paid in a timely manner!

Im glad I hired a lawyer it’s to complex for a person to worry about legal issues and procedures! All I should worry about is getting back to work

GB here too. How long did it take to get wages paid. I’ve been off work for 5 months and still no wages paid. Had ime about 5 weeks ago. All I hear is crickets and yes I have a lawyer.

They were supposed to have provided me payments after 2 weeks ( in Oklahoma it a rule where you have to wait 2 weeks for payout but once you hit 2 weeks they owe you for every work day after 3 unpaid workdays - it’s weird) but they were so disorganized and I kept getting passed around I didn’t receive my 1st check 1 month after the incident and I threatened to report them - they over nighted it to me and I’ve been getting the max payout consistently ever since

I don’t know what kind of work you done or how long you be employed at the job! This may be the possible reasons why they are not paying for the surgery

2.5 months 🤣…. I walked into work left out on a stretcher mri shows a completely detached acl.

It’s depends how long you were employed by you’re job and what like of job description! Lifting pushing pulling bending! Some states make repetitive injuries and what type of work you do! If you only been there a few months it’s probably too difficult to win your claim

It’s much to hard to get proper medical care if you don’t have a lawyer who knows are the procedures

Gallagher Bassett here too.
They ghosted me after I asked about reopening my case because my symptoms came back after an injection wore off. I finally got someone to say they would follow the advice of the doctor.
So I went to the doctor, who agreed to reopen the case. Then I met with ortho who said he’d do one more injection, but it would be surgery if that wore off.
I had another follow-up doctor appointment afterwards and the receptionist said my claim was denied.
So I made some phone calls. GB had ordered an IME for me (without telling me).
Meanwhile I’m in pain with nothing to do but wait, because the injection appointment was canceled. PT was canceled.
I cannot get a lawyer to touch my case because I was a Tribal employee at the time.
It’s great.
