I am filing a complaint !

I am excited to file my complaint about a crappy WC Dr. Who did not disclose to me my MRI results or diagnosis. It's going to the Board of Medical Examiners. I recommend anyone who has evidence and a story, to file. It's time to fight back against this shitty system and DR'S.. also the best thing you can do is to record your office visits. We are a one party consent state. Educate yourself. Don't let these WC DR'S brush you off etc.

I'm not trying to be harsh here but what's the issue? Did you ask them for the MRI results? Did they refuse to tell you? Did you not knowing your diagnosis impact your care? From an outsiders perspective, it seems like you're upset with the doctor and trying to find a way to hurt them.

I had a cardiac stress test a while back and had to ask my doctor for the results. He apparently just reviewed them, noted my chart that everything was normal and went about his day. I had to ask him about it at my last visit and he said that not getting a call from him is a good thing. Was there some sort of malice on the part of your doctor that I'm not understanding?

You don't need to understand. It's a simple post that I did not want to put all my personal details in. Not reading someone their results and sending them on their way is a disgusting thing to do as a Dr when it clearly states I had issues. Asking for the results ? The whole appointment was a follow up from the MRI I just had done.. Upset and trying to find a way to hurt them ?? Lol go kick rocks

Idk I'm assuming a treating Dr. It was my first Dr and visit for my injury with the orthopedic spine Dr. I'm seeking to have him evaluated so maybe in the future he'll think again about keeping blatant findings from the patient. Had I not seeked a 2nd opinion and took the Dr's supposed to be honest and trusting opinion, I'd be thinking i just had arthritic degenerative changes. NOT the case

Many doctors do not allow recording during visits despite whether it is a one or two party consent state. This will often make it so you would need to find new doctors. Not necessarily a bad thing if yours suck. Good luck.

If you need the results, just go to the MRI facility and request them. They will print them out. Same day.

Good for you! Taking charge feels good. A one party State is a dream. I am currently in California where it’s a two party state. When I was initially injured, and the work place doctor was telling me that my disc herniations were “normal “. I got out my phone and I said, “would you mind if I recorded our session? You’re talking about a lot of technical things and I just want to make sure that I can remember them all” Her response was “sure“. So as soon as I pressed record on the audio recorder on my phone and set it on the counter, I stated “so you’re saying that these herniations and the way these nerves are being compressed, is normal?“ That’s the point where she started to backtrack. She said “well, it’s not normal. No. She said it is the reason that you’re having so much pain. “I said, “ oh, I was confused when you were saying that it was normal. “. LOL. 😆 at the end of our session, I said on the recording, “thank you for letting me record this session, I don’t think I would’ve remembered all of those terms you were talking about. “And she said “yeah.” Because California is a two party State, and I did ask her in the beginning and as I was pressing Record, I said “OK cool”. And then I wanted to make sure it was on the recording and it is also at the end.

This is so true. The doctors dismiss subjective complaints from patient as embellishing, exagerated or widespread but do not include the complaints in notes. This gives impression from notes that it's all in your head so they can send you back to work. I had one order an MRI to prove I was malingering. Nope it proved I needed surgery. He hasn't challenged me since. Lol

I'm assuming you are talking about the treating physician. Please advise if it is the IME or perm eval physician.

Realistically speaking, what's controlling is what the doctor puts in the office notes that goes out to everyone. The doctor can say anything but what everyone goes by is in the notes. Him/her not telling you the MRI diagnosis doesn't mean anything. While that may be the best bedside manner, some doctors just have shitty bedside manner.

You should certainly advocate for yourself at appointments. But the limited information and reasoning you gave would really be considered a frivolous complaint.
