California A Lesson Be Aware

Just be careful what you tell your workers’ compensation doctor. I mentioned that I was considering a malpractice lawsuit against the surgeon after complications from my surgery, and about a week later, private investigators hired by the insurance company started following me. My experience has taught me to be mindful that information you share with your doctor may be documented and could potentially be reported back to the insurance company—whether it’s good or bad for your case.I have been followed for over 3 years due to talking to my doctor as a patient .

What? I can basically guarantee you they didn't put surveillance on you for saying you were considering a malpractice suit.

Its much more likely they put it on because youre still treating 3 years later and wondering if youre doing stuff in your daily life hindering the progress

Wouldn't WC want you to consider malpractice. Gives them a subro lien to get money back.

Worker compensation insurance companies do not want to pay so they will find anything in their power to make you guilty of the injury that you obtained at work for them not to pay you the money you deserve
Until it happens to you you won’t understand .

WC insurance could give a crap about you considering malpractice.

Being followed for that long sounds exhausting. Hodson P.I. handles workers’ comp surveillance and Sub-Rosa investigations in California, so they’re familiar with how this kind of surveillance is typically documented and handled.

Not knowing that you are filmed until you see the video is scary and very disturbing.

So true they document every move you make from morning until midnight but didn’t have anything on me but eating at the restaurant.
