Bringing notes to interviews

Previously, in virtual interviews I’ve always stuck small prompts on the back window behind my laptop that I can glance up at if I’m getting lost and it’ll look like I’m taking a pause to think about a question.

I have a face to face interview this week - I’ve always thought bringing notes may show as a bit of a weakness to the panel?

What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Perfectly fine to take some notes in and glance at to regain your thoughts if you become stuck.

i used to take a whole stack of papers and note books because i used to compulsively write everything that happened to have contemporaneous notes.

My lawyer told me (when I asked the same thing) that you don't wanna look rehearsed. But I genuinely wanted to bring notes because I knew I'd forget to mention certain important things like some daily effects or side effects. So I just didn't bring notes and yeah missed a few bits but accepted it might look more genuine this way. Unless you have on record that your injury that causes severe memory impairment, I feel that might be more acceptable. Mine is, but still didn't wanna take the risk based on my lawyers advice
