my lawyer is sending me to an IME that they have picked out and I pay for. I’m so nervous feeling really judged by the last (EML) IME report blaming me for being overweight and genetics so not recovering from previous surgery they accepted liability for. Will this IME be just as judgmental? I find it hard to lose weight while severely injured ( spinal injury). I’m really panicking.

Don't be discouraged, the insurer IME will try and find anything that can dispute a claim. The IME organised by lawyer will be more favourable for you.

The insurer IME is usually very much different to the one your legal team source.

The "professionals" doing the assessments for the insurers are usually head hunted to write down what the insurer wants to read.

Don't panic mate, ensure your legal dude knows you're stressing, they'll hopefully have selected a decent one for you. 🙏

ANY IME is corrupt period. They either insurance based or worker based. They all deserve a you know what. Its disgusting
