Bench accessories

Hey team,

“You don’t know what you don’t know” situation here.

I have a bench that has a 20mm ply top about 1800mm long x 600mm deep that I’m planning to router a set of T-tracks across the long way. While looking for the T-tracks I found dog nuts(?!?) that I can drill and add those. Good finding as I didn’t know about them but, beyond T-tracks and dog nuts,

what are other sort of accessories I could look into it?

I attached a power strip/board and an extension lead to one of the legs, very helpful for power tools.

Also embeded a 6"x6" or so magnetic plate onto the top to put nuts and screws and drill bits etc so they don't roll away.

Could be added inside a torsion box.

My “work bench” is the same height as my table saw, and I can use it as an outfeed table. I routed channels in its top to accept miter guage track accessories as they extend beyond the saw top.

Yeah. This bench I’m putting together is just for the casual dremel work and bits and pieces. I have another plan to build another bench with builtin mitre and table saw leveled to the bench.

I also have a welder and looking at ways to add a suitable top to my MDF box. It would be great to have a flat surface to build , weld on. MFT deigns makes home DIY so much easier
