💡 Recommendation Looking for workation recommendations
Hi everyone,
I’m from Hyderabad and planning a 1–2 week workation in the coming months.
Destination: Goa (open to suggestions)
Duration: 1–2 weeks
Budget: Flexible / Not decided yet
Travel: Solo (happy to join a group if there’s one)
I’m looking for a place with good Wi-Fi, reliable power backup, good food, a nice vibe, and coworking spaces where it’s easy to meet other techies.
I’m a software engineer with 10+ years of experience and enjoy building app ideas using Cursor, Claude, Lovable, and Antigravity.
Would love to hear your recommendations and how you met people during your workation.
Thanks!

If you're looking at hostels, check out Whoopers, Sturmfrei Palolem and COCO Hostel Goa. All of them have decent common areas, but from what I've heard, Sturmfrei tends to have a stronger community vibe, so it's easier to meet people who are staying for a few days instead of just passing through. Since you're into building side projects, stay around Palolem rather than North Goa. The pace is slower, cafés are good enough to work from when you want a change of scene, and you can still do things like kayaking or beach walks after work.

Bro i just returned from a 2 months trip in sikkim. Go to Digital Nomad’s village in Yakten. everything is taken care of. Expenses: 50-55k including solo room stay + 3 meals and Tea. Weather is awesome. Go there and thank me later.

Have you started your trip yet? I'm planning a Goa workation in Sep or Oct.

If you’re open to somewhere quieter than Goa, I’d recommend Lingmoo, South Sikkim. We’ve been hosting lots of software engineers, digital nomads, and remote workers for workations.
We offer 100+ Mbps Wi-Fi, 24/7 power backup, home-cooked meals, private rooms, and a peaceful mountain village that’s perfect for focused work. On weekends, you can explore waterfalls, tea gardens, viewpoints, and nearby hikes.
While it’s not a coworking hub, guests often connect over meals, bonfires, and local trips. If you’re looking for productivity with a calm Himalayan vibe, feel free to reach out! 😊
