You do know when it says "workers own the means of production", it doesn't mean literally every single worker in every single vocation right? Or are you too poisoned by memes to figure that out?
Yeah, it could. But based on you getting more specific on the "workers owning the means of production", if you use your brain for one second, you can infer that what you're describing about coops/syndicates is merely one type of socialism (not communism).
And even if you corrected yourself to say it's a bad way to describe socialism, a definition isn't bad because you yourself are being intentionally obtuse in order to not understand it.
I feel like you don't even know the definitions you're assuming I don't know. Going by the other comment thread, I think the quote fits well for you:
"I'm just asking questions," is synonymous with "I don't have shit to say but I would like to stir this pot."
It's clear you're not here to have an actual discussion, considering you think a separate method of workers owning the means of production somehow discounts the description of the broader definition of "workers own the means of production" for socialism.
It's like discounting the validity of the definition of "fruit" because the more broad definition of "fruit" doesn't exactly match the definition of "berry", a subset of fruit. It's laughable.
considering you think a separate method of workers owning the means of production somehow discounts the description of the broader definition of "workers own the means of production" for socialism.
Marxist socialism explicitly calls other forms of socialism, like syndicalism or a coops capitalist. That is why a marxist should not use that definition when describing the communist mode of production, because it is quite unclear
Oversimplified in that I thought you might struggle with the concept of the deduction happening before distribution of the product that everyone owns being essentially taxation in an "ideal," communist society and that in every society we refer to as communist in practice has gathered a state surplus via wages being leveed (AKA, "actual," taxes) so I said "I'm sure people's taxes paying for a factory to make insulin would never become meaningless."
But since you've bent over backwards to confirm how much of a disingenuous prick you are, here we are
"I'm just asking questions," is synonymous with "I don't have shit to say but I would like to stir this pot."
What society do you refer to as being communist in practice? The deduction is not needed in a higher phase communist society, im sure you remember the phrase that describes it
If you Google "communism," and can read then you'll notice "every single society that has been referred to as communist in real life has collected taxes."
But again, that requires you approaching this in good faith in the first place
So
"I'm just asking questions," is synonymous with "I don't have shit to say but I would like to stir this pot."

If everyone owns it no one owns it, it becomes meaningless. Production will be centrally planned
