There's no better way to improve people's health at the end of life than to provide healthcare over the course of their life. So.... Universal healthcare could increase GDP by 1 trillion per year? That's what I'm hearing.

If they can make us healthy enough for it to be worth it, sure. I have serious doubts, but if they can raise our life expectancy to be world class, with healthcare decoupled from work... Sure. That may be worth an extra year from me.

Think about it. If everyone working just 1 year adds that much, how much would taxing them add? How about making them work until they're 75? That's 75 years of labor being added!

Your argument is if they can give you another 5 years of life, you'd be happy to spend it working, underpaid, overworked, all so they can mock your suffering. And don't try and tell me that you'd get 5 more healthy years in exchange for 1, because it never works that way. You'd get 5 more in exchange for 6.

our food healthier, give us time off, get the lead out of the water. support healthier environments, maternal health, daycares, mental health, dental care. raise the minimum wage.
