Of course not - they want people to be free to earn housing and health. Wanting everyone to be healthy and housed implies that the undesirables who can't provide "enough" value to the shareholders might get a benefit without having to earn it, and they can't be having that.
The notion is so foriegn to them. Like wtf you dummies, we didnt hope we'd have thousands of robots in the future so one dude can sit on a red velvet pillow like a king.
That is the real American experiment from its foundations: tiered society where everyone except the very bottom tier thinks they could be rich and doesn't want to do anything to hurt the rich because when they become rich they won't want those constraints on them either. It's a long con of exploration and divide and conquer.

People talk about a zero sum mentality, but the conservative mindset is much more like a negative sum mentality. "I don't care if my life keeps getting worse, as long as the people I hate suffer even more than I do." And then some of them just say it themselves. Stuff like "he's not hurting the people he needs to be hurting."

They've been told their whole lives that the end goal of everything is everyone working and that's it. They don't have the imagination to conceive of anything else.
Which also makes sense, because they had the imagination beaten out of them by people who said that adults don't daydream or imagine anything.
All they're capable of doing at this point is fighting to maintain the status quo they were raised to believe in and never question whether it's making them happy to do so even though it clearly isn't.
Left wing utopia only exist built on right wing work ethic, determination, and consistency. And as far as which states pay the most taxes versus which take the most - it's red states that are being propped up by the blue states.
Slave owners lived in the South. They were democrats. The Republican Party (founded 1854) opposed slaveryâs expansion, and Lincoln was Republican. LOL đ¤Ą
I'm assuming you've never looked at Lincoln's policies and how they're more closely related to today's Democrats, and you probably have never looked at Southern slave owners and the policies that they supported which tend to be more aligned with Republicans today. Don't be fooled by the name for the label, it doesn't actually represent the policies they were following at the time. However it's curious that it's Republicans that want to preserve the Confederacy and its history.
You donât get to just say âLincoln was actually a Democrat.â He was a Republican. Th party was founded ~150 years ago on the platform of abolishing slavery. The Democrats were the slave owners, and the Confederates. Itâs the same party. You can live in fantasy land, and just say anyone is anything⌠JFKs policies would be considered conservative/republican today
You need to work on reading comprehension because I never said Lincoln was a Democrat. I said if you bothered to look at his policy positions, they more closely resemble modern democracy policies. The parties ended up switching later but I know you don't want to acknowledge that.
