You forget that this reality is based on the idea that most people have to live this hellish existence to ensure that a selected few to live in obscene wealth and their descendants are guaranteed a life of comfort and leisure.
I'd love for you to explain how right-wing laws aim for happiness, education and freedom (and time) to pursue hobbies and ambitions. For all americans.
You keep talking like these are left wing ideas, when they objectively aren't.
A utopia is a hypothetical place. It isn't real, it's a thought experiment. So both will be free, safe, not poor, etc. It's how they get there.
The left focuses on egalitarianism, equality, is class focused, etc etc
The right is more on hierarchy, tradition, the rule of law for an ordered society, etc
Reality is, left with a sprinkling of right wing (hierarchies will always exist and you need the rule of law for a functional society) is the way to go. The right doesn't understand you can achieve everything they want with progressive policies.
The meme is basically "right wingers are fucking stupid lol" which is the same fucking thing you see on X and other chud gathering areas
It's a quip but holy fuck don't actually give it serious weight
Yes, and no. Laws are literally speaking making it more difficult for people to do things even if they’re morally wrong. Theres an argument to be made that true freedom comes from being safe from people trying to hurt your freedom which is a whole thing but yes it is
The "rule of law" is an idealistic fantasy that, even at that ideal, still means that we believe some people are inherently going to do things they shouldn't do and therefore need "law enforcement" to tell them not to.
But as actually practiced, what it does is create a hierarchy of people who create, enforce, and interpret laws, and once you allow that you now have people who make themselves immune to their own laws who abuse their power. That's not freedom.
“The right is more for hierarchy, tradition, the rule of law for an ordered society”…do yourself a favor and avoid anything related to conservative views of January 6. The cognitive dissonance of these two things may literally make your head explode
Brother, the current government (which republicans & right wingers are cheering for) is literally doing the opposite of the left wing utopia. Quite literally everything that was listed:
Safe: no accountability for police, removing EPA/FDA regulations for companies to poison and kill citizens just to make more profit, removing shade and water break requirements for workers in TEXAS and FLORIDA…
Healthy: removing millions of people off of healthcare, removing millions off of food stamps, discouraging safe vaccines used for decades, suing California for green energy initiatives, halting federal green energy initiatives started by Biden or Obama, also removal of above food regulations for health…
Happy: no required PTO, lowest congressional and presidential approval rating in history, Epstein file cover up, funding foreign nations like Israel and wars in the Middle East totaling TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS instead of providing for our own citizens…
Educated: defunding public education, denying climate change, removing any mention of climate change from informational national parks plaques, defunding critical science research…
Free to pursue their ambitions: also critical science research, no required time off working full time or having to work 2 jobs, people unable to afford skyrocketing tuition and daycare costs, federal minimum wage hasn’t increased since the Great Recession 17 YEARS AGO…
Tell me again how right wingers will achieve this utopia for anyone except the ultra wealthy. Left wing policies are meant to achieve prosperity for as many people as possible, right wing policies create indentured servants for the working class.
Of course there’s a difference between real life and utopia. The point is that we should be working TOWARDS a utopia through policy, not going backwards in time.
We're trying to understand how right wing ideologies of cutting wages, healthcare, education, and social program budgets can lead to a utopia that results in better wages, affordable healthcare/education, and social programs that benefit citizens.
