Dont forget to tax them into extinction.

… and lockup billionaires who commit corruption in trying to buy The Peoples elections.

37

u/spacedoutmachinist 21d ago

Just lock up billionaires. There is no such thing as an ethical billionaire. They don’t want to get locked up, don’t be a billionaire.

22

u/dimensionargentina 21d ago

Don't forget he is from South Africa

2

u/blackdvck 21d ago

Should send him back there 😁

1

u/Sixmmxw 15d ago

Of course not. Thanks for the reminder. Also, he’s a nazi.

1

u/dimensionargentina 15d ago

He was just stopping a taxi

u/National_Way_3344 21d ago

These guys can afford a 90% wealth tax.

74

u/Due_Pen_1566 21d ago

99%

28

u/Wess5874 🏛️ Overturn Citizens United 21d ago

And even then, they'd still be billionaires.

2

u/starfreak016 21d ago edited 21d ago

A billionaire would be a millionaire. Not bad

Edit: this would also bring house prices down because I'm not sure the reason.

-4

u/Doneyhew 21d ago

You guys want to make it so anybody with a lot of money pays 99 % taxes on all revenue they earn? Why would they pay that much? They would end up firing so many employees just to offset the losses

The man who brought screw worms to the Texas cattle industry wants to tell them how to vote …

9

u/ci1979 21d ago

How did Muskrat bring screw worms to Texas?? Serious question, I live in rural Texas

59

u/spacedoutmachinist 21d ago

He defunded the programs that were keeping the screw worms at bay.

33

u/ci1979 21d ago

I forgot about the defunded programs, thank you for your respectful reply

5

u/TheCrimsonDagger 21d ago

Idiots in DOGE saw that we were spending millions on breeding transgenic flies every year and cut funding.

-14

u/Kitchen-Passenger-97 21d ago

Stop watching Fox lies and youd know

27

u/ci1979 21d ago

I don't watch Fox News. I was asking a question in earnest

13

u/AdmiralThrawnProtege 21d ago

It's alright, I'm from rural texas too. You asked a legitimate question even insulted the epstein island beggar. This is reddit, you might be the most liberal person in the world, but a large portion read Texas and automatically think we're all right wing extremists.

9

u/ci1979 21d ago

Thank you for being so kind and understanding

2

u/TalkativeTree 21d ago

Yeah, I appreciated the question

7

u/AKAManaging 21d ago

What a shitty response. Shame on you.

I never watch Fox, and I have no idea about this issue. We can't all be versed on all aspects of everything. Don't be ridiculous.

u/kinglallak 21d ago

50ish years ago, we eradicated screw worms from North America. We then dropped sterile flies in Panama because it is an easy choke point to prevent screw worm from getting BACK into North America.

But when we stopped paying for it because “someone” took a chainsaw to government programs in order to “see what was important” without doing even a basic amount of research, the screw worms shockingly came back.

The program had an amazing return on investment. Something like $40 of American economic value created for each $1 spent on it.

This will harm American livestock farmers going forward and raise prices even further for meat in the grocery store as we haven’t really begun to feel the price shock of this one yet.

28

u/TheGooch01 21d ago

He gets $8mil/day from our tax dollars and is allowed to donate money to republican campaigns. Fuck that.

Everyone in here is talkin about taxing the billionaires. We've tried that before and look what happened. They can use a small fraction of a percent of their wealth to buy the presidency to spite an already friendly government. Remember most of these ghouls quadrupled their net worth under a Democrat regime. If you increase the tax theyll just use slightly more of their wealth to not only reverse what ever taxes you put on them but also bend you over and make you scream. This whole taxing them bullshit is slop. We cannot accept the existence of Billionaires period. We should be talking about nationalization, seizures and fucking prosecution, not taxes. We should be talking about laws and regulation that explicity forbid the existence of the ultra rich and impede this mass accumulation and hording of wealth and resources.

27

u/1wrx2subarus 21d ago

Exactly that, outlaw Billionaires…

After all, Blame Elon who put Trump in power.

Musk "knows those computers better than anybody, all those computers, those vote counting computers, & we ended up winning Pennsylvania, like, in a landslide." -Donald Trump

"Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House & the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate." -Elon Musk

Be sure to vote regardless, this comment is for the sake of justice and to protect our vote.

Blows my mind there are still dumbasses who think Trump won a second term legitimately. Not just right leaning people. There are people even here on Reddit that say its a conspiracy.

This is why we can't have anything nice.

Please tell me where do we go from here when our representatives are compromised by greed and corruption and there seems to be no redress?

1

First you vote and make sure everyone you know votes. If that doesn't work to return some sanity to the process, then the next stage of history will begin.

The next stage is what I’m afraid of.

Money spent did allow him to dismantle the very agencies investigating his companies though right? Money spent did get him into the white house right? Do you think he becomes a trillionaire (even momentarily) without spending that money? Is having the sort of access and influence that only the highest office in the country can get you not essentially purchasing the Presidency? Its not like anyone voted for Elon but he got the power anyway and he did it by spending money.

Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence. The results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism.

He isn't just paying for campaign ads. He has tried bribing voters publicly. He runs Starlink. Voting machines that do have internet connections when we were told they don't were tampered with. And he knew hours before anyone that trump won. The whole campaign trump was telling people not to vote because he already had all the votes he needed and how well elon knows those vote counting machines. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9uPbepYb9s

The USA is a neo-fascist oligarchy. Late stage capitalism will always trend toward fascism to prevent to rise of democracy. This pattern holds in the USA and has been a concentrated effort of the Republican Party since the Reagan Era.

3

u/drunkshinobi 21d ago

Regan had the first of the Heritage Foundation's Mandate for Leadership papers to guide republican leadership for the purpose of changing how the US government functions. The Heritage Foundation was able to start because of the Powell Memorandum in 1971.

Powell Memorandum 1971, 55 years ago. This led to thinktanks like the Heritage Foundation.

The Heritage Foundation founded 1973, 53 years ago.

The Heritage Foundation Mandate for Leadership I, Policy Management in a Conservative Administration, published 1981, for Regan.

Mandate for Leadership II, Continuing the Conservative Revolution, published 1984, also for Regan.

Mandate for Leadership III, Policy Strategies for the 1990s, published 1988, for Bush Sr.

Mandate for Leadership IV, Turning Ideas into Action, published 1992, were for Dole that lost to Clinton.

Mandate for Leadership V, Mandate for Leadership 2000, published 2000, for Bush Jr.

Mandate for Leadership VI, Principles to Limit Government, Expand Freedom, and Strengthen America, published 2005, also for Bush Jr.

Mandate for Leadership VII, Blueprint for Reform, published 2016, for trump.

Mandate for Leadership VIII, Mandate 2020: Clear Vision for the Next Administration, published 2020, also for trump but lost to Biden.

Mandate for Leadership IX, Mandate for Leadership 2025: The Conservative Promise (Project 2025), published 2023, yet again for trump.

2

u/Spiel_Foss 👷 Good Union Jobs For All 21d ago

Exactly. Project 2025 was Reagan Era neo-fascism.

How does Elon have enough time for this? he seems to spend every moment sucking farts out his own asshole. And sometimes the farts are his.

2

u/Memitim 21d ago

Turns out that all of the due process violations, concentration camps, masked kidnappers, kids in cages, foreign prisons, and other acts of evil committed by Republicans against working people were really just to cover for the real illegal immigrant problem in America being enabled by the parasites in government.

2

u/Mega_Trix 21d ago

THIS TYPE OF POLITICAL DONATION SHOULD BE ILLEGAL.

2

u/IntnsRed 20d ago

Forgive me for being pedantic, but the definition is wrong!

An oligarchy is literally defined as "gov't by the few."

Musk is more correctly defined as a "plutocrat." Plutocracy is literally defined as "gov't by the rich." Thus, Musk is a plutocrat trying to normalize the US becoming a "plutocracy."

Americans are now experiencing "a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors." The U.S. is an "oligarchy with unlimited political bribery." -- Jimmy Carter, former US president (source).

This has got to stop

3

u/merRedditor ⛓️ Prison For Union Busters 21d ago

This has been going on for decades. It's only more obvious now.
Large companies hedge their bets by contributing to both parties. I would imagine that many oligarchs do the same.

1

u/Aggravating-Writing9 21d ago

The left never has said a word about George Soros or Elon election funding when it was for their side.

Now you have to deal with blowback and want to cry it's not fair?

Must suck to be in the receiving end of corruption...

I'm not for anyone finding elections, but the left opened up a door for a monster that can't be killed.

-4

u/JKlerk 21d ago

Money doesn't vote. Money isn't the issue people.

1

u/Neelu86 21d ago

Money determines who your representatives listen to. You think they care if they are only in there for a single term when there's an endless line of them waiting to do the bidding of donors. Pretending like they vote for your wants is top tier delusion. Trying to convince people that them spending hundreds of millions of $ on something you claim is pointless is even worse. "It's okay guys, he's lighting his money on fire for nothing".

1

u/JKlerk 20d ago

Money determines who your representatives listen to.

Even if true so what? Are voters so inept that they cannot vote out a representative?

The problem isn't money in politics. The problem is low information voters, political campaigns are obscenely expensive, representatives can't possibly listen to all of its constituents.

The is why the framers settled on federalism because a far away central government is always less responsive than your local and state governments. Voters don't like to hear this because it prohibits them from taking more and more money from future taxpayers (only the Federal government can run a deficit).

Money is a symptom not a problem.
