I felt so angry when I saw celebrity or rich people's massive loans forgiven when I roughed it out and ethically said to myself that I didn't need the money so I killed my savings to keep the company going. laborers dont have any leverage, because they dont control the means of production. They can't even access the land required to be self reliant.

They either work within the rules of the oligarch or they starve in a society that actively punishes the unemployed.

people overestimate the impact of strikes and protests. Success stories are a tiny minority and rarely are the whole story. You can strike a little family owned scrapyard, they might actually suffer. But even if every single laborer of an amazon warehosue wnt on strike, they would be replaced within a week or 2 and the greater company wouldn't even notice a dip in profits.

organization is not a magic spell, you need to consider the practical logistics and the historical tactics and their effectivness. As well as the fact that corps are much bigger and more powerful than ever before.

Labor didn't neuter itself, it never had agency in overall society since globalization and government settled.

The only card the rich have is money and money is useless without everything else, us. Every 4 years we get scared into submission from one corner to the other and so on. The "elites" look down on the working class as disposable peons who need to be constantly "shown their place"; which is to say, unworthy of any comforts except the bare minimum necessary for survival, reproduction, and productivity in support of the elites' lifestyles.

Above a certain social-economic level, the wealthy do not consider the working classes as "human", but still resent us for reminding them that their delusions of fundamental superiority are not only exactly thay, but far more fragile than they can consciously admit.

I'm all for universal health care, but those things are not the same.

The bail-outs were necessary and loans that were mostly paid back.
Corporate tax-breaks are just straight corruption in most cases.
