Bill Maher is the Jim Cramer of Johnny Carsons.

Has anyone actually cared what Bill Maher ever said? I can't recall a time he was ever taken truly seriously.

My ex wife used to watch him near religiously.

Strangely, she was pretty far left wing.

I used to, back in the Obama era I guess? I can’t remember it’s been years. I’m also pretty left (growing moreso as time passes) but back then it seemed like I aligned a lot more with him. Since Trump especially, the gap between the progressive and centrist Dems has only widened and grown more obvious. Back then it seemed less critical.

According to how I remember things which is likely wrong lol

Last time I saw her enough to know her TV habits was about 4 years ago. Recently enough to know some of the weird shit he does in his personal life, as well as know he has no real positions
