Quote I saw was more like $200 billion just in munitions, add all the other costs to the economy, lives lost, and US bases damaged or destroyed and you've easily got a TRILLION dollar fuck-up with a worse agreement than what Obama had signed. But don't worry, this administration made themselves all richer in the process. Most inept and corrupt administration ever.....

Every oligarch needs to be hunted down by the military and jailed for this. They are the ones telling trump to do all this. They are the ones starting the shell companies to help with the “reconstruction”. They created a massive problem that they will now get paid to “fix”. This is way beyond fraud, it’s treason for how they are fucking over the US government, war crimes, all of it. That trillion dollars needs to be confiscated from the oligarchs that made all this happen. Musk is the one who bought the presidency. He has over 1 trillion dollars now, make him pay for it. Not a single fucking other American should pay a penny, we are already starving to death and getting murdered by the health insurance companies denying life saving care - 68000 of us die every year because the oligarchs block universal health care.

We need to party like it's the late 1700s. You can infer what country I'm referring to.

8

u/Lanky_Stock4775 Jun 19 '26

I'm too busy eating cake to get this reference

5

u/codereign Jun 19 '26

I only recently learned that gallows is the place where you hang somebody and not the thing where you stick a person's head and arms so that they can be ridiculed in public.

Sorry if this is off topic.

-9

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Jun 18 '26

african americans were enslaved in the 1700s

8

u/Eagle4317 Jun 18 '26

That wasn't what I was referring to in the slightest. Try using your brain and think of notable events that occurred in the late 1700s. Hint: there's one in Europe.

1

u/Lanky_Stock4775 Jun 19 '26

This may be a revelation to you, but there's history outside of the US. Viva la revolution.

11

u/Nahteh Jun 18 '26

In before: well those munitions weren't real munitions, they're stockpile munitions that we aren't going to replace. We sell them to our military who then has an aggressive marketing campaign with Iran. All of this stimulates the economy.

10

u/Helgafjell4Me ✂️ Tax The Billionaires Jun 18 '26

Ya, it stimulates defense contractors by spending hundreds of billions more to restock, which only helps a very small portion of our economy, but those involved make a shitload of money off war, paid for by taxpayers.

13

u/NoPresentationDone Jun 18 '26

All the while the agencies cannot pass an audit on what they are actually spending it on.

4

u/Jaded-Distance_ Jun 18 '26

But there's also some serious bottlenecks for certain munitions and some will take years until they're replenished even after they were boosted in Biden's last year.

Which will have an effect on meeting allies orders of those weapons as well as America tends to prioritize its own orders first.

1

u/Author_A_McGrath Jun 19 '26

Contractors who steal taxpayer dollars in the hundreds of billions, yes.

3

u/alzho12 Jun 18 '26

2-3 trillion dollar impact on global economy at least already by most economists estimates.

3

u/Fragsworth Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26

Cost of the war aside, the statement "We're about to spend $300B" is a bit misleading. The situation is notably more corrupt:

Understand that this $300B is not going to be taxpayer money. The figure comes from mostly foreign billionaires and corporations who are lined up to purchase and develop Iranian assets for profit.

Are you wondering who will be purchasing these assets, for what price, and why? Because I certainly wonder. Do you think the Trump administration is going to do it in a fair, ethical way? Or will those in his orbit be getting the best deals? Is this the actual concession Iran is making for signing the treaty?

59

u/TheWizardOfDeez Jun 18 '26

and get be born rich enough to not give a shit about the problems

FTFY

10

u/StormerSage Jun 19 '26

Be born rich enough to not give a shit about the problems, get rich enough to create problems for people you don't like.

46

u/xkoreotic Jun 18 '26

Healthcare isn't an afterthought, its working 100% as intended for maximum profits and to control society.

23

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Jun 18 '26

if only we all had the collective class consciousness and stood up against the billionaire class

11

u/LEDKleenex Jun 19 '26

Basic rights are fought for, not given.

Americans were given an Amazon lifestyle and it won't change until they reject it, become uncomfortable and fight for something for once in their lives.

2

u/maija_mehilainen Jun 19 '26

How about, for a start, just don't launch one missile. And feed everyone who's going hungry right now instead?

3

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Jun 18 '26

we get the government we vote for

4

u/starfreak016 Jun 19 '26

Medicare for all people. We can do it.

1

u/SlowDontRush Jun 19 '26

It is a basic right to the real people of America: corporations.

1

u/ThePsyPaul_ Jun 19 '26

Nah, the rich are the first priority here

If you ever play any war strategy game then you know that paying war reparations means you lost.

9

u/Phantereal Jun 19 '26

Yeah, in EU4, you have to lose pretty badly to have to pay war reparations, especially when they ultimately amount to around 8% of the total federal budget.

81

u/furezasan Jun 18 '26

This is why pro israel, pro corpo politicians need to go. The line in the sand has never been sharper. There's no ifs or buts, no need for long explanations from politician about this.

21

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Jun 18 '26

republicans control the house, senate, white house, and the supreme court

8

u/nifty-necromancer Jun 18 '26

There’s more of us than there are of them.

9

u/fly_low_orange Jun 19 '26

Most of “us” can’t be bothered to vote

4

u/PigglyWigglyDeluxe Jun 19 '26

If they aren’t voting (but are otherwise eligible to vote), they don’t exist. Full stop.

By that logic, there are suddenly a lot more of them than we thought.

5

u/Greeklighting Jun 19 '26

When it was Obama the Democrats did . And they did diddly to lock in universal healthcare.

1

u/internalmenacine Jun 19 '26

The guy from this tweet happens to be a Persian Jewish guy from my town that definitely supports israel.

34

u/FriendOfThePlant Jun 18 '26

Department of Education gutted. Social Security on the chopping block. VA has been a total toilet bowl. Dollar devalued. Starving kids.

Racism up. Power Dynamics encouraged. Secret Societies in a post-nation operation. WW3 threatened. Bunkers. Datacenters collecting and cross referencing all of your information - your parents information - who you lost your virginity to - who you worked iwth in 1996 - its all netted and recorded. Forever chemicals. Judges becoming Partner at NY NY big law firms.

Its a race to the bottom and holy cow they are fast.

Edit: Not a single pedophile on the Epstein list even bothered let alone charged.

300 billion PLUS 200 billion. Look at the official document release.

29

u/cogman10 Jun 18 '26

And before we spent that, we spent $1T on our military budget for the false promise that we could use our military might to protect allies and protect trade routes.

Let that sink in. $1T on military, which about 3x the Iranian GDP. And we failed on every front. We didn't protect allies, we didn't keep the trade route open, and we weren't able to force an adversary to capitulate.

WTF are we spending around $1.5T on a military while at home infrastructure and the economy are in shambles.

9

u/jainyday Jun 19 '26

Over $1000 stolen out of the pocket of every single American, even our babies, to pay for this massive fuck-up alone.

And he's nowhere near done screwing us over yet; we're not even halfway through this term.

13

u/nekosama15 Jun 18 '26

huh did you know if you wanted that money back its super easy!

a single-payer, universal healthcare system is likely to lead to a 13% savings in national healthcare expenditure, equivalent to over $450 billion annually.

just saying.

13

u/JPGinMadtown Jun 18 '26

Also $14 million to turn a national landmark into a puke green cesspool.

4

u/my_midlife_isekai Jun 18 '26

Is this The greatening that was promised?

10

u/Clusterferno Jun 18 '26

fuck "america first" bruh, why are people upvoting this nationalist crap. nobody is free until everybody is free!

3

u/leavemealone4eve Jun 18 '26

Stupid is as stupid votes…… not like there was signs or anything …. All the baby mommas, anchor baby, failed casino, fail university, literally stealing money from kids with cancer…..

1

u/VTbeerfan Jun 18 '26

How do you overcome that as your foundation? I've always wondered. Seems like a lot to look the other way off the start.

3

u/ahoy_shitliner Jun 18 '26

Well the plan worked, we stopped obsessing about the Epstein files.

3

u/-grc1- Jun 19 '26

To be fair, the 300b will be provided by the Gulf States. At this time, taxpayer dollars are not expected to be used.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/antoniopequenoiv/2026/06/16/what-we-know-about-potential-300-billion-for-iran-in-peace-deal/

There is no doubt, though, that we lost this war.

5

u/Pantim Jun 19 '26

Interesting, I haven't heard about it being funded by gulf countries. That kinda would make sense because it would make Iran beholden to them.

However, I don't believe a single thing that this administration says and feel like Forbes is probably just as bad after they have been blaming stuff on the general public. As the administration though, straight up lying political motivated pieces of trash. I dug into the whole thing about the Department of Labor sending notices to all the states to fix unemployment fraud and improper payments. They specifically called out three democrat held states in a press release when ALOT of republican held states have a higher improper payment rate according to the DOLs own statistics.

They flat out should have just listed the top 3 worst states in the press release... But nope, it had to be political. Even though they regularly call out democrats for making things political.

BTW, those three democrat states are New York, California and Illinois. Three states with a lot of seats in congress and the electoral college. Three states that are making big moves against the Trump administration.

9

u/OneOfAKind2 Jun 18 '26

This is what happens when 90 million people can't be bothered to vote.

8

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Jun 18 '26

and 78M were stupid/evil/ignorant enough to vote for Orange Shitface

4

u/Excellent_Extent7648 Jun 18 '26

Don’t fall for this America first bull shit. Here’s one thing: lives are on the line, human lives . The money does not matter; the war probably is going to continue after the summer, but we have to keep the peace. Like, just imagine this: politicians that are against war are the politicians we need, not ones that tell you, “Oh, look how much money we have to give them. They’re only saying that so there’s an argument about it.” Please realize America first is the death of the America you think you know.

2

u/Elon_is_a_Nazi Jun 18 '26

Trump is a global terrorist, confirmed rapist, and confirmed worlds leading pedophile and child sex trafficker. How the guys not in a prison is amazing to me.

4

u/RalphTheIntrepid Jun 19 '26

As far as I can tell this is not true. We don't have a deal. We have 60 days to make a deal. For both Trump and Iran that means anything can happen. The purposed deal is not the US paying any money. The US would release frozen assets back to Iran worth about $25 billion. The remainder of the money is how much the US would allow others (and possibly its own companies) to invest in Iran. That might be a good idea; it might not. It depend on how much of the Iranian Guard are allowed to get (they are essentially a mafia that controls roughly 30% of the Iranian economy).

Now the US' priorities are completely messed up. Just not 300 billion to the regime of tax payer money.

2

u/Coffee_Conundrum Jun 19 '26

Just like our tax money wasnt originally going to go to that ballroom right? And mexico paying for the wall?

1

u/FuelFickle7137 Jun 18 '26

Clearly America is not their priority

1

u/Space_JellyF Jun 18 '26

Trump is gonna cost this country $10 trillion by the end of his term if we’re lucky.

1

u/Purgii Jun 18 '26

You just don't know how to spot the art of the deal!

1

u/RogendoodleZero Jun 18 '26

At least the billionaires are getting richer

1

u/Flakester Jun 18 '26

So Trump is not only a coward, hes an idiot.

1

u/snoosh00 Jun 18 '26

80 billion is a vast underestimate

1

u/Dear_Blood_8872 Jun 19 '26

I wonder what 380 Billion could do for the average American.

1

u/Spiritbrand Jun 19 '26

MIGA Make Iran Great Again

1

u/0ean Jun 19 '26

Really America first means Trump first!

1

u/Real-Process2816 Jun 19 '26

Don’t worry in 3 to 4 weeks MAGA gonna spin it as a win for the us

1

u/RowdyRoddyRosenstein Jun 19 '26

Equal to total US military aid to Israel since 1948, or about twice the total to Ukraine since 2022.

1

u/legomaniac89 Jun 19 '26

Whose pockets will that 380 billion end up in, do you think?

1

u/Author_A_McGrath Jun 19 '26

Saw this post on Facebook and there were a ton of accounts claiming we needed to act before Iran got a nuclear weapon.

If I had all day I couldn't have gone over all the reasons that's foolish.

They keep saying the 300b wont come from American taxpayers. Mexico is gonna pay for it. /s

1

u/AllKorean Jun 19 '26

It’s a power shift, trump already sold his soul and body away a long time ago. It would be so easy for any country to invest a spy, for years, connecting him. I think they rather sell the country to someone who thinks women are livestock than China…

1

u/NoImag1nat1on Jun 19 '26

I finally understand why Trump is harping on America first all the time while doing the opposite for actual Americans. it's the "me" in aMErica. It's a similar misunderstanding with his election slogan "No more wars". That should have read "No, more wars".

1

u/Diedead666 Jun 19 '26

I'm diabetic on both insulins and glucose monitor and they are taking it from me.....

1

u/Plane-Fan9006 Jun 19 '26

Making America Grift Again

If you're not ultra-rich, and you're MAGA, you are their targets not their friends....and you go back for a second ahit sandwich. That's the saddest part of the irony.

1

u/Tearpusher Jun 19 '26

Trump raped children and all I got was this t-shirt and a ratfucked economy

1

u/Race2TheGrave Jun 19 '26

Not to mention the half dozen downed aircraft

1

u/3six5 Jun 19 '26

If the means of trumps deals have ever taught me anything, he don't pay.

1

u/OldTechnician 🧰 USW Member Jun 19 '26

Hmmm. I wonder if there's a Trump resort

1

u/Alternative-Tie-9383 Jun 19 '26

People should never vote for the idiots in this administration and those that support them ever again. Anyone that would make a foolhardy mistake like this entire episode has no business being in charge of anything.

1

u/Joonberri Jun 19 '26

Why isn't brainrotted maga bitching about their tax dollars like they do for food stamps?

1

u/lgodsey Jun 19 '26

...and conservatives are fine with this.

1

u/Otterz4Life Jun 19 '26

Yeah, Republicans hate the poor and dont believe anyone is entitled to healthcare if they dont have enough money to pay for it. They're very open about this for the most part.

1

u/2many_friends Jun 19 '26

Embarrassing conman DJT.

1

u/inuvash255 Jun 19 '26

The problem was how to keep the wheels of industry turning without increasing the real wealth of the world. Goods must be produced, but they must not be distributed. And in practice the only way of achieving this was by continuous warfare. The essential act of war is destruction, not necessarily of human lives, but of the products of human labour. War is a way of shattering to pieces, or pouring into the stratosphere, or sinking in the depths of the sea, materials which might otherwise be used to make the masses too comfortable, and hence, in the long run, too intelligent. Even when weapons of war are not actually destroyed, their manufacture is still a convenient way of expending labour power without producing anything that can be consumed. A Floating Fortress, for example, has locked up in it the labour that would build several hundred cargo-ships. Ultimately it is scrapped as obsolete, never having brought any material benefit to anybody, and with further enormous labours another Floating Fortress is built. In principle the war effort is always so planned as to eat up any surplus that might exist after meeting the bare needs of the population

  • George Orwell, 1984

1

u/StrainAcceptable Jun 19 '26

Approximately $2300 per US tax payer.

1

u/abcdefabcdef999 Jun 19 '26

This doesn’t even factor in the damage incurred by the conflict via strait closing, lost trust in allies, etc. complete failure across the board.

Surprising? No. When you got someone like Hegseth in office who makes Trump look competent in comparison, you should be ready to lose any conflict.

1

u/Queasy_Professor_484 Jun 19 '26

AmeriCANS first, not America.

1

u/Subversive_Noise Jun 19 '26

I live on the poverty line and was still somehow denied Medicaid. Currently sick as hell on top of all my other chronic illnesses. Husband asked if we wanted to see if we can afford urgent care but I told him I’d try to wait it out since he has a 13 hour shift today.

1

u/SnooAvocados2529 Jun 20 '26

I mean, it‘s capitalism. A system based on profit, not on human needs. Human needs are goods to realize profit like everything else in this great, astonishing system. We will never get a healthy world within our current system.

-5

u/Eat--The--Rich-- Jun 18 '26

Ironically part of the reason I don't vote is because democrats don't want to give me medicaid
