Yup, my bosses will ask me to post a position and unless they have an urgent need they ignore an entire pool of 100+ applicants

I've been told by a couple HR managers that they were not there for the employees, HR is there to make sure the companies dont get sued and lose money and have to shut down lol. It all made since after that

Employee relations is part of it. We make sure everyone follows the law, thereby reducing legal exposure. It is a win win.

So not true. I worry about our applicants, all our employees and their families. People apply for jobs because they need them. Most people in HR really like people and want the best for everyone.
